Thank-you for this release. I have a few copies of the movie, a Titanic Limited Edition (on VHS when it first came out), and the 2-Disc Special Edition, and I have been waiting eagerly for this movie. You have done yourself a good job.

Sorry for double posting, but the audio is quite low. I mean, even though I got 2.1 channel on my computer, I have to put the speaker volume, not to be confused with the volume control, to maximum in order to hear what they are saying.

The audio was mastered from the original source.

Well, it’s been a few years since I’ve seen this movie, and I’ve never seen the film’s deleted scenes. All I can say is I was blown away. The extra scenes bring in much more depth to the supporting characters, to the point that I was tear-jerked watching them face their deaths.
Technically, ADigitialMan’s edition does a pretty damn good job. I only saw a couple of issues: first, there is a jarring cut in the music shortly after Jack and his friends burst through the first class gate with a bench and the scene returns to the lifeboats. The second minor flaw is a general observation that when most deleted scenes are inserted, there is a noticable stutter in the picture for a fraction of a second. Otherwise, there’s not much to nitpick about this edition.
Well done, ADigitalMan! Your version will remain the one to have until the retail market releases an official extended edition (if that ever happens).

I have this, it is wonderful.
I tend to notice little things in movies, and the restored scenes explain a few things.

I am an extended edition buff and have a big collection of original ones and all the fanedits from here.
Many extended editions do not add anything to the movie, just add more useless scenes. I will rate the ones here.
Rating criteria: image quality, sound quality, 3x improvement, overall.
Image Quality: 9 of 10
Sound Quality: 9 of 10
Improvement: 1 of 10
Overall: 4 of 10

Titanic: The White Star Extended Edition
Review by Captain Khajiit
This is the best extended edition I have ever seen. The subject matter of the film fully justifies an epic extended edition of this nature, and the film easily absorbs the extra running time. I only became aware of the time when the first disc of this three-disc set ended.
I found each of the added scenes contributed to in some small way to the film, and filled out the story of one of the most remarkable disasters in world history. I do not care much for the alternative ending, but as the second and third discs are identical apart from the ending, one can take one’s choice.
Editing: 10 out of 10 for the editing itself – it was plain sailing all the way through
Entertainment: 10 out of 10 (theatrical – 9 out of 10)
Image and video quality: The video was excellent, with an almost imperceptible reduction in quality being present in the deleted scenes. 10 out of 10
Audio editing and audio quality: There is clear audio throughout, with only one hardcut being present, at a non-critical juncture, which did not take me out of the film at all. 9 out of 10
Presentation: who cares?
Overall: 10 out of 10
With adigitalman at the helm, Titanic becomes an unsinkable success.

Great job on this edit. Great quality (especially withthe deleted scenes). I DL’d this version because I have several other edits by AdigitalMan. I also DL’d this more for my girlfriend than me. i was not a fan of this movie, more because of the PR overload when it came out and was just sick of hearing about it. Of the “Titanic” edits available here, this is the best for editing, quality and content.
HOWEVER, this is an extended version, not an edit. If you are a titanic fan and want to see all the deleted scenes perfectly re-inserted to this movie, then this is the version for you.

A marvelous piece of work that made a piece of modern Hollywood film-making even better. Truly an epic effort by A Digital Man to restore into place all the deleted scenes. Usually putting back this much footage into a film makes it unbearably ponderous, but in this case it seems to just make the story that much richer. Much more character development now, and many of the secondary and tertiary roles are better defined as real people, which is important (especially with the historical characters i.e. Titanic’s officers) in the second half after the collision/during the sinking when we get the very best and the very worst of behavior. A big round of applause from me to A Digital Man for this 10 star fanedit.
