Technically this was well done, ADigitalMan did what he sought to accomplish. ESB was honestly very satisfying and the SE didn't taint it that much. I agree with the others in the fact that the kiss cut was unnecessary, but, realizing this is a fanedit with an alternate perspective, I don't take much issue with it. The restored "Bring My Shuttle" and Emperor are also nicely done. Of course, Boba Fett's original voice is far better. Perhaps the only qualm I have about this is that ADM did not try his hand at any color correction. The 2004 master honestly had Hoth be too cyan and other parts tinted incorrectly. In any case, it is something interesting to have.

The dub isn't changed, just the dialogue. That's what I got out of the notes, anyway.

Can we get a version with the kiss, please? I really like what you've done with your edits, but I'm kinda ocd and I really want that scene in. plus its hot.

Changing the Vader shuttle scene and restoring Boba Fett's real voice are worthy changes, however dubbing over Ian McDirmond with the original voice and deleting the brother-on-sister smooch seem like very frivilous changes to me, and I think that it would be better to leave them as they were on the 2004 DVD.

I think this is a great fanedit, first of all. Second, but two point I want to make regarding LouVanHille's review.

1. The Special Edition dialogue between the Emperor and Vader confuses things without really adding anything all that critical. It's been 3 years since the Death Star was destroyed, so what's the point of mentioning it, other than to remind viewers? And Vader's "How is that possible?" contradicts the fact that he clearly suspects already that Luke is his son. Instead, now it plays like the Emperor has to convince Vader of the fact. I prefer the original dialogue, which plays as though Vader knows who Luke is, but wants to hide it from the Emperor so Vader and Luke can eventually overthrow him. Plus, the new exchange suffers from the wordiness of the prequels, wheareas the OT is so exciting because the dialogue was short and snappy. All in all, a perfect decision by ADigitalMan.

2. Restoring Boba Fett's original voice is not nonsense. It's a MUCH better reading. The Jango-voiced reading is flat and uninteresting. The actor sounds bored and I can practically hear the eggshell foam in the sound booth. I also dispute your claim that Boba HAS to sound like Jango. We have a geneticist in the family, and she states that popular depictions of clones as EXACT DUPLICATES is inaccurate. Clones are only as similar as identical twins, and twins do not always grow up to have identical voices. Finally, Boba could be using a voice modulator like Leia in ROTJ, and there's no good reason to change the voice when the original performance is better.

I mean Boba is not a clone like all the others: he grew up like at a normal speed.
So he's voice could sound different from the other clones.
(who knows, maybe Boba is a cigar smoker?) :)

Plus: Boba Fett is not really a clone, listen carefuly when you'll watch EP2 next time! ;)
So maybe he's voice can be different from Jango's.
Not to mention that voices depends mostly of the way of life.

Above poster... do you even get it? The shuttle scene slows the pace down and we can infer he took a shuttle to the Star Destroyer; Boba Fett's old voice sounds more frightening and slick, compared to his clone voice, the biggest offense in Empire's history AND Boba's voice would be altered in the helmets audio processors; ADM already filled the offspring of "Skywalker" part of the story in his ANH edit; even though I agree with you, the kiss removal isn't needed.

Though some ideas are good, some do not make this Edit version valuable :
- The removal of the so called incestuous smooch is quite silly. In the movie, the true relationship was not established for the characters at that time and could therefore be natural. Moreover, it adds tensions to the Leia-Han relationship. The removal was NOT a good thing.
- The new Emperor scene re-edited to remove any new dialogue is again silly. The new version of the movie connects the two trilogies with more adequacy. And this scene is an important scene for the connection. This re-edited version is not so clever.
- Boba Fett’s voice restored is again non-sense. We now know Boba is a Clone. He therefore HAS TO HAVE the same voice as Jango Fett. Restoring the voice brings a lack in the continuity of the story.
- The final shots of the Shuttle... Well, I don't know why it was edited by ADigitalMan. Again, it filled a gap in the continuity of the story...

By willing to do their best to go back to the original versions of the films or by personal annoyance, some editors sometimes ruin the movie instead of improving it. This version is an example of a ruining of a movie (added by boon23: in the opinion of the author of this post, whereas almost everyone enjoys ADMs work).
