Easily the best version of the already excellent thriller/chiller. Well done, Leonenut. And, as much as I like the Hannibal flicks with Hopkins as Dr. Lecter, I think this is right up there with “SOTL”. I’d have liked to have seen how Brian Cox would have expanded the role had he got another chance. Col. Hutty has it right IMO in his ratings. This version of “Manhunter” is a winner and the one to own.

I am an extended edition buff and have a big collection of original ones and all the fanedits from here.
Many extended editions do not add anything to the movie, just add more useless scenes. I will rate the ones here.
Rating criteria: image quality, sound quality, 3x improvement, overall.
Image Quality: 8 of 10
Sound Quality: 9 of 10
Improvement: 7 of 10
Overall: 8 of 10

Fantastic job. Unfortunately I noticed that you chose to use the 6 shots instead of 5 at the film’s climax. Be advised that the Charter Arms Bulldog the character used only holds 5 shots. Sorry.

Finally found and watched this extended edition and it lives up to the above description. An absolute MUST for any Manhunter fan. Best version, better that commercially produced editions.
