I really enjoyed watching this. I was glad to see some of the annoying stuff cut. It was a great feature that I enjoyed from beginning to end. Good job.

Grabbed this avi version off a torrent, great job. I felt an early cut with the lady playing piano was a bit jarring, been a while since I watched these films though so might not have been your editing. I agree the ”i’m the juggernaut bitch!” was begging to be cut and I also felt spike face could have been heavily cut out. But less about how X3 disappointed and wishing you could fix it into a better ending. The films linked well and cut nicely into a single feature. The only downside is it does expose the fact that some characters come and go film to film such as Toad and Sabretooth who could believably be killed but seem to simply disappear when there is no gap in films. No fault of yours of course. There also seems no point to Angel and all his scenes, maybe there is a plot point he has to portray at some point but I cannot remember it right now. Same goes for the kitty/rogue/iceman love triangle. Overall all that editing I didn't notice it. Found this well worth a watch. Thanks for putting the effort in and making this!

Hey, I just finished watching your edit. I watched the .avi version (hooked up to my 32" lcd via macbook with dvi to hdmi chord). I thought the quality was superb, considering the compression. I would also like to add that this is my first "fan-edit" viewing experience, and I'm glad it was, because you did an AMAZING job! I really enjoyed watching this, the flow and pacing was perfect. It is a shame that X3 is such crap, but you have done a great job at making it less cringe-inducing. I have no gripes with your edit, just a few hot-headed fan requests, should you revise this:

-"i'm the juggernaut bitch!"--was really expecting/hoping for that to be cut.
-Archelyte, the porcupine asian guy, and the black chick who runs fast could/should be cut (or rendered mute). They are 100% awful. Stupid powers and crappy actors. When the porcupine says to Pyro, "Do you know who your dealing with?" , only to show off his spikes. It simultaneously makes me laugh and angers me. If I was Pyro I would have deep-fried his @ss right there.

But with that said, I'm very impressed with your work and look forward to more!!

PS
Is Requiem War a completely different take/edit? Or is it a revised version of this?

Screenshot for those that may have been scared off by the post about quality on the avi. You can see in the first pic that the letters 'twenty years ago' have artifacts around them.. for some reason. Hardcoded subs mixed with a low bitrate scene can generate that I suppose...
http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?quickkey=mjeyyumitty&thumb=4
So I myself was a little wary about the rest of the quality, but really?? 1GB per 2hours is plenty. Scene standards say 2 hours should be 1400MB (2CD), Especially for an action movie such as this (with everything BUT the action cut out.)

Further viewing led me to this screenshot with a wonderful explosion and pixelation is MINIMAL
http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?quickkey=da2ykgkonty&thumb=4

So DON'T BE AFRAID of the AVI version.
(Also don't be afraid to get a divx playing standalone with upscaling and some nice filtering if you can't be bothered to use XBMC or a nice MYTHBUNTU setup... I'm looking in your direction Nightshiver. Saving all that money without a premium RS account.)
Agreed on the lack of 5.1 though... It's like I'm livin in the 50's. (j/k the edit looks great so far and I thought I'd share screenshots even before I finished watching it.)

Let me preface this by saying I mean no disrepect to the editor, I merely am commenting on what I watched and intend these comments and criticisms to be taken in a constructive manner :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

X-Men Trilogy is a fanedit combining all 3 X-Men films into 1 4hr movie. There's not much more to it than that. Wraith has done a great job of removing all the nonsense and repetitive scenes to create a 4hr epic X-Men film that flows quite well as a single story.

Pros:

Successfully condenses the storylines into one film without sacrificing anything pivotal.

Great way to view the trilogy if you are a fan of the originals and want a single epic version.

Relatively seamless editing throughout.

Cons:

The Image quality was less than stellar, and since its on a DL DVD that still has 3GB's worth of unused space, I was less than impressed with the video quality. the extra space could easily have been devoted to a higher video bitrate. (The worst example I can site is the Wolverine/Lady Deathstrike fight from X2. it just looked very grainy and pixelized)

AC3 2.0 audio was adequate but a full 5.1 upscale would have been nice and like the video, theres plenty of free space on the DVD 9 to accommodate it.

There were a few errors/glitches/oddities that I noticed, many are minor but I will still mention them here if the editor attempts another revision:

at 5:32 there is what appears to be some text that briefly appears right as the opening credits are ending.

there is a video glitch in the transition at 10:30 from rogue outside to wolverine inside

Just before Jean uses 'Cerebro' a 20 second scene repeats at 55:44 where Psyclops is talking to the comatose Professor X about taking care of the Xmen should he not make it - I doubt this was intentional

in X2, the removal of the scene showing Mistique injecting the "metal" into the security guards ass made Magnetos escape from prison a bit confusing. Its hard to Imagine "too much iron in your blood" being the soul cause for his escape.

The end credits had many odd transitions and were running too fast to actually read. Suggest removing them altogether or slowing it down some.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Despite my "cons" observations may suggest; overall I enjoyed this edit because I hadnt seen the Xmen series in a few years and it was nice to watch them all together as one film.
Kudos Wraith on a great job maintaining a cohesive narrative throughout 3 different films.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Video Quality - 6/10 It could be better especially since there was so much free space available on the DVD-9

Video Editing - 8/10 a few minor quibbles but overall very nice work.

Audio Quality - 8/10 the 2.0 Sounded fine but the inclusion of 5.1 would have been welcome

Audio Editing - 9/10 no problems/hard cuts

Entertainment - 8/10 I still got the same enjoyment from this edit (if not more) and I didnt have to sit through 6 hrs of film.

DVD Presentation - 5/10 Static menus and Bonus trailers looked good. No Scene selection Screen. No additional Cover or Disc art available.

Total - 7.5/10

If you think that compressing it that much is "stupid", why did you download it? What were you expecting? It is not the editors fault you do not have a premium rapidshare account. Please, limit your comments to intelligent and respectful criticism. Calling someone stupid after you've just enjoyed their hard work is neither.

I liked the way the fanedit is laid out. For the most part, very smooth transitions and no audio flukes at all. But, as I do not have a rapidshare premium account, I downloaded the .avi version. The quality of the .avi is atrocious, with ringing and compression artifacts everywhere. Not to be rude, but it's stupid to try to compress over 4 hours worth of movie to only 2GB. If I was able to download the DVD, I'd make my own encode of the movie to watch. That aside, I enjoyed the edit.
