After the terrible final season I now watched this trilogy of movies and it is a great way to remember one of the best shows ever – at least when it began.
It works great as movies. Thank you.
Sure, I missed that evil agent and I like that lawyer woman, but the movies work well without them. This is how I will now always watch Prison Break and how I want to remember it.

Now that I have some experience under my belt editing a couple different TV series, I am even more impressed with your work here.

Especially for having such a good idea in the first place. Removing the entire conspiracy half of the plot is a powerful idea, and obviously one that works very well. I can’t speak for others, but I for one found it an improvement that the trilogy is “it” and you can’t continue with the show after. I don’t know what they were thinking expanding to additional seasons, but I certainly had no interest. I tried to watch all the way through the first season a few times, but never got past episode 17 or so. Just dragged on way too much for me, way too little was getting done, and it was far too repetitive. Especially irksome from the originals was Scofield constantly talking about how some huge new problem needed to be solved, and how it would take way too long, and they are way behind… and there is no margin for error or delay in his plans!!! Well… it just rings really false to the audience doesn’t it? Because we can be pretty sure that they will eventually escape. I loved that in your movies there are plenty of setbacks and problems, but it seems far more reasonable, and the deadlines are never so unrealistic.

I gave all 3 episodes a 10.
Great entertainment and now I’m thinking that I need to watch the entire series.

Hello. Great work, even though the video from the first part it’s a bit tricky one question…why don’t you do the 2nd season,and the 3rd…i’d be glad to see the final season with the final break included that would be impressive 10x Keep up the good work !!

I think shortening it down to movie length is actually better for suspension of disbelief, as you don’t really have time to question as many of these plausibilty issues. It is a little unbelievable of course, but face it, a network TV show is never going to be able to accurately depict prison life. If you’re looking for that kind of program, I recommend Oz. But if your looking for fast paced escapism, you could do much worse than Boon’s edit.

I got into it pretty quickly, the opening is a real grabber, and it was very well paced after that. Overall, an enjoyable “B” -type popcorn movie. Not an Oscar winner by any means, but way better than the average Michael Bay film for sure. This one is a good Saturday or Sunday afternoon watch.

Kudos to Boon for cutting this down to movie length without leaving any major points of the story out. After watching some of the original eps, I am duly impressed by this effort. Really quite the editing feat, especially considering the removal of the titles, etc. Also of note are the DVD menus, splendidly done. Studio quality there.

So overall, a fun watch, if you’re not to fussy about the details of such a plan actually working. Although it did strain credulity on a few occasions, I was pretty entertained.

This is a comment for all 3 episodes of the Prison Break Movie. I loved the original series of Prison Break, and was curious to see how this cut would work. WOW! Keeping us focused on purely the break out and forgetting about the outside world makes for an intense ride! Its always fun to see and hear how Boon decides to cut or change things in the special features! Recommended!

Watched the first episode along with my father and was blown away, great editing as always.
He hadn’t seen any of the episodes beforehand and he was truly amazed, he has been bugging me for the next episode for quite some time now. We cannot wait to see the continuation. Again great work boon

fantastic edit !
I always hated the scenes outside the prison, and you had a great idea. The “episode 1″ was flawless and much more entertaining than the show itself… I really hope you’ll make an “episode 2″.

Excellent work. I can’t wait for more. The series was decent, but this trims it to a real edge-of-seat thriller. Outstanding and impressive edit and slick menus put this one at the top of my ‘viewed/recommended fanedits’ list.

First fanedit i’ve watched, and a fantastic one at that! I was a fan of the the show for its first two seasons, and this was superbly done. It felt like it was always meant to be this way.

Can i please add to the calls for episode 2? This works far better than the series because you dont get all the flash backs to previous episode u need if u are watching a tv series. Well done mate, great idea and great delivery, licking my lips at the prospect of part 2

Just finished watching this and I loved it. I did enjoy the conspiracy plotlines that the series contained, but this “pure” prison break approach works just as well. We get all we need to know about the characters and how they all get linked together. The editing is tight and makes the whole thing feel more streamlined and straightforward. And to think that 160 minutes were cut and it still remains so cohesive is impressive! I also liked the way the menus and extra info is presented.

I appreciate all the work that went into this and in conclusion, I’d just like to say: bring on episode two!
