Stranger Than Fiction (Alternate Ending)
by StomachwormWhat is it about? This True Fanedit eliminates Hollywood’s attempt to make people feel all warm and fuzzy when the credits roll. Life doesn’t always have a happy ending and Harold Crick is about to find this out, the hard way.

I liked to new ending. Too bad the AR is off. Zoom TV setting fixed it, but it would’ve been nice to be 16×9.

I must say, I love the original movie, and I thought about an ending like this while watching, but this edit just doesn’t feel right. The ending really feels tacked on and rushed. It makes it feel like a very abrupt ending. I’m not sure what could be done to change that feeling, if anything. Overall, I think the idea was very sound and logical, but the weird feeling I got from it was a little off-putting. I’m not entirely saisfied with either ending, really. I’m going to give this edit a 5/10 for various reasons, though I would give the movie an 8/10.
