This was one of the first fanedit I ever seen and must say that the Jar Jar subtitle were a real treat to me as they intriduced sme nice subplot explaining things. Now I can see that it's not a perfect edit, but still, very interesting and worth the download IMO.

I have to say I really enjoyed this, mainly because the real version was such a huge disappointment and this was such a vast improvement on it. Jar-Jar saying "Go, you little bastard!" as Anakin finally gets his pod moving at the race really made me laugh.

Actually I'd like to know what is the difference between this edit and "The Phantom Re-edit" that I see mentioned on another page here?

Interesting ideas for sure. The execution could be a lot better. It has quite a bit of problems, mostly audio for me. The new languages are a fantastic idea but really don't come close to working, being clearly the non-english tracks played mostly backward. This causes strange drop offs at the ends (beginnings) of phrases.

Jar Jar is a bit more tolerable, but still far too many antics. And having him swear? Just doesn't fit, IMO.

It was explained to me that this edit was made a few years ago and just now released officially here on FE. Some of the technical problems with this edit were more or less common to most fanedits at the time- so I have factored this in to consideration here. Still...

With so many good ideas, it would be great to see an improved version of this.
