It’s left ambiguous now.
- 10. Added theme to Cannibal Holocaust for closing credits music.
Additional info: The color version of the movie is also greatly desaturated compared to the original cut of the mini-series which was bright and vibrant, partially because of the time and partially because of it being made for television. The black and white and pale color lead to a darker looking story. More grim.

Available via Mp4. DVD should be up as well around Sunday or Monday. Because it’s a long movie the output file is something like 6GB for even an .Avi file. So I will produce a 16GB MPEG-file and synch it to a 4.5GB DVD. Quality will be reduced but will still look great on a widescreen television.

Didn’t know if this would work, with half of the movie in BW and the other half in colour, I appreciate that the first half was set in the 50’s while the second half was in the 80’s. Having watched it I thought it was a very well put together edit, which I enjoyed very much. But much prefered the original colour version. 7/10

Sorry, but it is still a bad movie. And the editing was also not too well done. Only 3 stars. Sorry.

Firstly, I’m not going to review the video or audio quality. The only version available when I downloaded it was the mp4, which reduces video quality.
Editing:
Overall 9/10. The only edit that was VERY noticeable is when adult Richie comes to the library in Derry. He’s singing in his car, then you cut to the library and he runs in frantically, scared. I understand cutting out the marquee displaying the year (1990) due to wanting to keep it set in the 80s, but you should have cut the shot of him driving as well.
The other edit that caught my attention was during Stan’s segment of “Six Phone Calls”. He mentions to his wife that she loves watching “Perfect Strangers”, yet that show didn’t exist in 1986. That is probably so minor to everyone else, though.
Presentation: N/A due to downloading mp4.
Entertainment:
Overall 6/10.
Okay, this really isn’t all your fault on this. The mini-series really messed up on Part Two. The dialog is almost unbearable in a lot of scenes. The real gems of that mini-series were the child actors. All their scenes keep the viewer watching. But they decided to have 95% of the children scenes in Part One and then they had two short flashback scenes in Part Two.
Now, with your edit, you decided to have it flow chronologically. This was not very wise. The first 45 minutes are really entertaining and awesome to see it all flow together so nicely without having “Six Phone Calls” as a bookend for each scene. But once the kids put Pennywise out of commission the movie drags on for 2 hours.
So, the kid’s section was beautifully done. But, a lot more could have been edited out of the adult section.
OVERALL:

Neg, for what it’s worth ‘Perfect Strangers’ started in 1986. So no problem there.
