Their ensuing talk is a bit shorter too. -Yoda and the Younglings remains, but I tightened it up as best I could. Is it just me, or does Liam take forever to answer? Not anymore. I also kept this scene to help set up the slaughter in Ep. III. - Back on Naboo, Anakin and Padme have the picnic. The scene ends after Padme accuses Anakin of making fun of her and he laughs. “I’d be much too frightened to tease a senator” is gone. What a weird line." For these very reasons - and I appreciate how much work you've done - I cannot watch this version. The one thing I wish had been cut was the droid factory sequence but even this is now watchable as C3PO has been removed completely. So many times I actually found myself grinning because I was enjoying the movie so much better. There were only a few things I would have liked: keeping Obi-Wan overhearing that Nute Gunray was behind the assassination attempts, and reintegrating the Anakin/Padme on trial before the arena scene. But, overall, THE GATHERING STORM is fantastic from start to finish. Without a doubt, this is my all-time favorite edit of Episode II… and I’ve clapped eyes on a fair few. So many times I actually found myself grinning because I was enjoying the movie so much better. There were only a few things I would have liked: keeping Obi-Wan overhearing that Nute Gunray was behind the assassination attempts, and reintegrating the Anakin/Padme on trial before the arena scene.
