For some reason, I figured this was going to be an edit that was going to take footage from both movies and make original shorts. After watching it, to me it seemed like it was just an edit of both movies of only the Predator footage. Maybe it’s because I had an initial idea of what I thought this was going to be, but overall I guess I have to say I wasn’t too fond of this.

The first Predator Chronicle i really enjoyed, the edit was tight which enabled his edit it flow very well.
The second Predator Chronicle is a great edit, it turned a very slow plodding movie into a tight fast moving hour, well done on both.

Predator movie 1 & 2 turned in to Chronicles anytime soon?

I am far from overwhelmed. I admit I didn’t notice any technical issues. I watched the avi version and the quality is very nice, I have no complains whatsoever about that. If I hadn’t already seen the original movies I wouldn’t be able to tell what has been cut. The first AVP got better, well getting worse was practically impossible. My real problem is with the second movie. This is what I usually call “heavily cut” and “butchered”. I didn’t realize how much gore the movie has until I saw your cut. By reducing the running time in half You have also removed half of the gore, if not more. Gone is the sequence where the first chestbursters… well, chestburst. Gone are the sewer killings, the deputy getting impaled by the Predator, the daddy being dragged away, the guy at the power plant getting his skull pierced through, the pool massacre, the diner impregnation, the hospital impregnation and I don’t know what else. I really can’t enjoy the movie like this, it is like watching the TV version of Scarface. Characters come out of nowhere and say something happened, then we see the aftermath, there is blood everywhere… But we didn’t see it happen and I personally felt robbed because of that.
If your main goal was to focus only on the Predator and the Aliens in that case yes, I guess You achieved something, but I found this cut to be much inferior to the original movie.
The editing work is immaculate – 10/10, as a story this is around 3/10. It just really feels like TV. I give this cut 5/10.
Please don’t feel offended, this is only my personal opinion, as I can see most of the users are pretty fond of these versions of the AVP series
By the way, great job with brightening the image, I thought there must be a brighter edition until I just read that You did that.

This turns the two episodes in something new and more dynamic – the last one absolutely needed it. I admire the introduction to the menu you edited.

This is my new favourite fan edit!
Splendid editing, all the right choices.

The first movie still is kinda bad, but with less stupid things going on. I can now watch it with joy, not some horrible pain growing in my stomach.
The second movie got way better. I actually cared more for the people now that we don’t know as much about them. Focus on only 1 human apart from the Predator works really well. I’s fun now!

The DVD is awesome. The feeling is just right, the extras are hilarious and the sound is great.

Top notch work!

The idea works nicely as two seperate comic book “episodes”, however I’d still like to see a combination edit that merges these two films into the one feature length movie it should have been. Remove all the pointless character study aspects and make it into a true Alien vs. Predator film with humans just being bystanders or victims to the battle between them. More of a movie from the POV of the predator maybe… (hmm, I think I just gave myself an idea for my own fanedit).

For this FanEdit though the editing quality was excellent and there were no noticeable techinal issues, but it still lacks some entertainment value for me to give this a 5 star rating. 4 stars overall, nice job thanks Antman!

a very good edit shorted to just the right timing and love the title of each film.

It good of be a little better and some of the edits you could not tell
but good anyway

This was a very good edit that cut just the right amount of footage from two different films to make them more bearable to watch.

I watched this today and, overall, I dug it. The first Alien vs. Predator flick will always suck as long as Lex teams up with Scar at the end. Unfortunately, that ending still exists in Cold Comfort, episode 1 of Predator Chronicles. I see no way that Uncanny Antman could’ve edited that out without having a severely choppy, non-sensical ending. The fault lies not with UA but with the source material. Other than that, he’s cut out a lot of shit and made the running time shorter and that’s always welcome. I can’t say that I like this movie now (like I could of Terminator 3 after UA’s cut) but I didn’t feel the need to bash my brains in either, so fair enough. As for Unexpected Visitors, episode 2 (or Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem), I actually liked the original movie but UA cut out all the little annoying things that brought the movie down. I love the new brighter photography and the axeing of the teen angst crap. But, I also missed some of the gorier moments that UA had to cut to make this version work. All in all, not Uncanny Antman’s best work but a good time nonetheless.
