Kill Bill – The Whole Bloody Affair

ANOES EEby QtheGaijin
“This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer.” But that’s not true for the fans. Here is the extended combination of Tarantino’s 2-part martial arts extravaganza into one epic film.

Intentions for this fanedit: This fanedit was created early 2007, but with the official release of THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR still being possible, it was held back for some time now. 1. It seems that part 9 can’t be downloaded. I get different results from different servers though, so it’s kinda weird. At most I get 9-35 mb of the whole file. Could it be re-upped?

    Thanks.

  2. it works just fine on my end, so there is no reason to re-upload it. use the guide to download it correctly without your temp memory or cookies intervening. Use the parfiles if it still does not work. Those can repair up to 10% of missing files or contents.

    Review by boon23 — July 23, 2008 @ 2:20 pm

  3. Yes, I’m trying the .par2-files now. I guess I’ll get a working archive in the end. Thanks a lot.

  4. Stupid Quickpar fooled me into deleting my .rar-files. So now I have to download everything again. :(

    Review by emphatic — July 23, 2008 @ 7:57 pm

  5. well, you can either say Quickpar fooled you, which it didn’t, or that you did not handle it correctly. If it extracted the movie (which is an option, which can cause deletion of the rar files) then you should be just fine. It is actually a rather simple tool that does a great job. But it is all learning experiences and I am sure, if you made a mistake, you won’t do it like that again. But please do not blame such a nice piece of software.

  6. Sorry for sounding so harsch. It IS a great tool and I’m really impressed. And I DID misunderstand the process a bit.

  7. How about a comment about the actual edit itself…?

Awesome. Beautifully done. If QT and The Weinstein’s can’t make the box set happen, then at least we can enjoy this version.

For the record, I had no problem whatsoever downloading these files. I just downloaded all the .rar files, unpacked ‘em and smelted myself a perfect DL disc. Please note that there are 2 totally different ‘part 55′ files. You have to download them both.

    Review by Stubblecat — July 24, 2008 @ 4:24 pm

  8. well, no, they are just the same. I deleted one. Did not see there were 2 when uploading it. This happens. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  9. Awesome attention to detail, Boon. Most importantly though: This is an epic edit. An absolute must-have.

  10. Sat down and watched all 4 HOURS! last night. What a great edit. I can’t believe that they won’t put out an official complete set.

Hopefully they don’t pull the same malarkey with Grindhouse.

  11. Needs Dual Layer torrent for great justice. Other than that, great edit. Its nice to see my wait for a full release want completely in vain ;)

  12. Won’t happen until YOU do it.

    Review by boon23 — July 26, 2008 @ 11:49 pm

  13. Man, that was long! Now I actually like the split into two film. On the edit here I can say that I expected more. When QT talks about TWBA he’s talking about having ouvertyr and intermission and actually recut the whole thing and not just splice the two together. I thank you for your hard work, but at this stage it doesn’t work like a single film.

    Review by matthew — July 31, 2008 @ 2:22 am

  14. I’m saddened this is just a merging of the two films, in the middle. The order of the fight sequences needs to be changed for it to flow well as a single film. Thanks for the edit though, worth it just to finally see the bloody fight scene in full color.

    Review by geffyB — August 1, 2008 @ 9:05 pm

  15. Loved it. Two filmed spliced into one.

I saw it all with my friends, we were exhausted after all of it. Wish they would’ve released that DVD set.

  16. Where are the subtitles in the avi version??

    Review by kaine23 — November 15, 2008 @ 10:55 pm

  17. Totally fucking EPIC! Thank you so much for this. I loved the first 2 films separately, but putting them together and adding the additional footage makes them better still. On a bizarre note, I remember being a bit taken aback by the lack of action in Volume 2, but it somehow doesn’t bother me in this version. Although, unfortunately, this cut does make it clear how inferior Tarentino’s shooting of hand-to-hand kung fu is to his shooting of samurai sword fights. Especially Bill’s fight. It feels both lacking, and out of place, and I understand completely why it ended up on the cutting room floor. I imagine that the people who commented on the WBA really being Quentin’s intention to completely re-edit the film are correct, because as great as this is, I think it could be better still. Nonetheless, 5 stars all the way. And again, thank you.

  18. Damn, I forgot to comment on the massacre scene being in color. Honestly, I’m surprised at how bloody it wasn’t. I really expected everything to be painted red by the end. While I still appreciate how cool it was that it was decolorized in the original release, I have to say that the colored version is superior since it doesn’t snap you back out of the scene. Therefore, I must thank you again for allowing me to see it in all it’s glory.

  19. Where are the subtitles in the avi version??
    There are none.

  20. This is great. I don’t really like the Bill/Jai White scene, and I think the Sophie stuff works better in the theatrical version, but the extended Crazy 88 scene (with yes, 88 people. I counted) is much better, and you saved me the trouble of making this myself.

    Review by R1ZE — November 16, 2008 @ 12:05 pm

  21. well i guess i’m lucky enough to have the original DVD9 version of this…

well what is there to say here? this is the most complete/perfect version of kill bill we currently have and is a great watch. it is obvious why there are many “abridged” attempts with KB, but i for one enjoy seeing this in all of its repetitive, egotistical entirety.

everything is a 5/5 here. great execution.

  22. I loved seeing the House of Blue Leaves scene in color, and this version of the film is a lot more entertaining than the uneven-feeling split that we got with the two separate movies. Excellent job!

  23. I am an extended edition buff and have a big collection of original ones and all the fanedits from here.
Many extended editions do not add anything to the movie, just add more useless scenes. I will rate the ones here.
Rating criteria: image quality, sound quality, 3x improvement, overall.
    Image Quality: 8 of 10
    Sound Quality: 8 of 10
    Improvement: 2 of 10
    Overall: 4 of 10

  25. Nice job. The picture looks great. I love the color Crazy 88 fight sequence. My only complaint is the audio is low.
