True Fanedit Contest May 2009

The True Fanedit Contest Of The Month for May 2009.

5 new true fanedits are the participants for the May contest and 3 of them joined in quite late. Once again there is a wide range covered: Star Wars and Batman, Lord Of The Rings and 3 less famous, but still very interesting fanedits covering action, science fiction and drama.  Once again we want to crown the best of them with your help, with YOUR RATING.

FANEDIT.ORG is asking its fantastic community to join in and rate these wonderful works of art to claim a rightful winner. You don’t have to watch them all, but the ones you did should receive your fair rating.

Details:

In this monthly event on Fanedit.org we are hoping for a lot of participation aka ratings from you, the visitors, the fanedit audience. Ratings and comments are what all faneditors are hoping for. You have to be registered and logged in to rate a fanedit.

The faneditors are hoping for reactions to their works, that is of course the main reason, why they release their fanedits to the public. It is the only “payment” they will ever receive for the many hours of hard work that went into the creation of their fanedits.
With the ratings public votes are collected differently than they were before as it is no longer necessary to have watched all the contestants. You rate just the ones you watched. Be fair.
The winner will participate in the 2nd ANNUAL FE AWARD, held in March 2010!

The Rules:
- everyone that is registered can rate each fanedit
- faneditors are allowed to rate their works as well as the works of others
- each fanedit can only be rated ONE time by a person
- the winner will be announced on JULY 01 2009(ratings will be taken into account until JUNE 30 2009). It will be the fanedit that scored in at the highest overall rating (with a minimum of 5 ratings)
- edits that have tied ratings for the lead will default to the greater number of votes cast.
- only 2 fanedits per month per faneditor are allowed
- fanedits of banned members are excluded from the contest

The Reward:
The winner will be entering the annual awards, an award will be placed in the post and it will be listed among the previous contest winners.

True Fanedits released in May 2009:

This is a re-envisioning and amalgamation of parts of the first two Bourne Movies to create a Jason Bourne extravaganza with twice the intensity and paranoia.

The Hitchhikers’ Guide To The Galaxy TWRBMHTVSE: by Merlin
This edit attempts to show the story minus the undesirable added elements, while at the same time presenting it in the form of a 3-part TV mini-series. Some of Adams’ new elements that did work have been left in, and new ‘TV Style’ titles and credits have been added amongst other changes made.

Batman Begins: Dark Cut: by JMB
A more streamlined version of Batman Begins, with fewer cheesy jokes, less un-Batman-like behavior and, most importantly, a more tolerable Katie Holmes.
