A hybrid of the perfect original and the bastard Special Edition. The cleaned up optical effects and the two deleted scenes (minus any CG moments in the “bathtub” scene) from the SE were inserted into the original cut. No crappy CG-e.t., no hippies, no walkie talkies.

Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original:

Like the Star Wars OT re-edits, I tried to make a less-offensive SE that just cleaned up a few dated FX and threw in some fun new scenes without butchering the plot or visuals.

As always with ADM’s edits a little goes a long way. sure this isn’t all that CREATIVE of an edit, but it preserves a version of an absolute classic that EVERYONE would rather see, thank you.
