The Mummy: Year of the Scorpion

by Gaith

1999’s The Mummy remains the best archaeology-themed adventure movie since Raiders of the Lost Ark. The sequel was a disaster, but THE MUMMY RETURNS had had some worthwhile elements. This version carefully digs them out.

Kong

by The Man Behind The Mask

This edit of Peter Jackson’s KING KONG is radically shorter, attempting to match the length to the 1933 original. The overdose of creatures as well as unnecessary exaggerations are gone for a truly fast-paced adventure.
This is not a grindhouse version.

Wolf Dancer

by CBB

This is a new take on DANCES WITH WOLVES, the famous 4h Western/Adventure that is so similar in its story to Avatar. Condensed to 2h30 minutes this is a much faster paced intense movie with no voice overs from John Dunbar, no irritating madness and less over-the-top scenes. The conflict of the two worlds and clashing cultures has been toned down to a more realistic, but still highly emotional take.

RAIDERS OF THE KRYSTAL SKULL: Remixed by Jorge

by Jorge

Nearly two decades after the last appearance, Indiana Jones is back. The great Steven Spielberg and the great George Lucas,  re-teaming with the great Harrison Ford and the great John Williams (cue triumphal brass!), to dig up one of the great adventure series in cinematic history and the result is. . . not bad. . . exactly.
It’s not a desecration of the franchise. It’s just feels . . . tired. So the attempt is to bring some life into a tired film.

Mission Impossible III: The Casmir Cut

by Casmir Radon

This version gets rid of the flash-forward prologue, which  distracted a lot from the rest of the movie up until that point. Some annoying dialogue, the poorly conceived hasty wedding, the Rabbit’s Foot McGuffin and some continuity errors along the way were fixed for an even greater and less annoying movie.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: Unholy Edition

by Infodroid
What is it about? What was initially planned as a pretty gentle edit turned out to be as drastic as Infodroid’s Temple of Doom edit. Though it still seems slightly lighter in tone when compared to Raiders,  this fanedit turns the 3rd Indy adventure into a fun, dignified, slightly more serious and much more worthy sequel to Raiders.

A Failed Expedition to the Lost World: Jurassic Park

by Merlin
What is it about? Released in 1997, ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’ received mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. What most seemed to agree on was their dislike of the movie’s ending based around a captured T-Rex getting loose in the city of San Diego.
The movie was later fanedited by Vmancini into ‘A Failed Expedition to the Lost World: Jurassic Park’, reinserting two deleted scenes, and removing all reference to the captured T-Rex and it’s escape in San Diego.
Presented here is a revised edition of that edit, created at the request of and in association with Vmancini.

Conan The Destroyer – Serious Edition

Conan

by Leonenut
What is it about? This an attempt to make Conan the Destroyer (1984) a more serious movie. Conan the Barbarian (1982) was probably one of the finest fantasy films ever made. The sequel wasn’t unfortunately, it was toned down to get a PG rating, and added too much humour in the process. Annoyingly Conan was given not just one sidekick, but three of them, and each has cringeworthy one-liners or silly moments. Also a whiny girl was added into the mix, and Conan is made more of an idiot.

The warriors: TV composite

by Tranzor
What is it about?
Director Walter Hill has publicly stated that he hates the television footage. In fact none of the TV footage was even placed as an extra on the newer dir’s cut dvd edition. My goal was to restore every bit of extra footage that appears in the television version back into the superior first edition (not that BS dirs cut) of the film. I placed the extra footage in the film exactly to where it was in the TV version. No rearranging of scenes of any kind (except for the bathroom scene which was a different edit on the TV version).
