Winner of the FE Faneditor Award August 01 2008:
Once again we honor another incredible faneditor among our ranks. It is long overdue for CBB to receive this prestigious award. Not only has CBB released a great quantity of edits (second only to ADigitalMan in number of publicly released fanedits), but the quality of the projects can be matched by few. Each edit is painstakingly edited with care, resulting in a few polished turds, and some new visions of films originally considered perfect. In the early days, the CBB Group comprised of an international team of editors who worked together to create new concepts in film, beginning in 2004. Disbanded over a year ago, CBB marched on, and was redefined by the most devoted member, boon23. Now, CBB (Created-By-Boon) continues to present the world with fanediting treasures on a regular basis. Each edit is strikingly unique and may feature just a simple touch for more comedy (49 & 51 First Dates), or a drastic removal of a main character (Star Trek: Kirkless Generations) for a whole new experience.
But, CBB goes far beyond making simple fanedited movies. Each edit is a complete production, featuring innovative DVD menus, special features, and unique custom DVD cover art. You may even be treated to a faneditors audio commentary for some edits.
The fanedit community is in great debt to this devoted and passionate film lover. For not only has he provided us with a wealth of new entertainment, but the man behind CBB is the glue of the fanedit community. The founder of www.fanedit.org, and administrator of the forums, CBB (or rather boon23) has given the world a medium to discuss their thoughts of film and unique visions that blossom into fanedits, a new film experience. If you are new to the fanediting world, we here at fanedit.org highly recommend you to grab one of CBB’s fanedits. It wont be your last.
