How have you started making fanedits and why are you making them? I was really inspired by the original Phantom edit(or). No longer did I have to accept all the sub-par material that Hollywood crammed into otherwise decent films. Adigitalman showed that it could be done on a large scale, relatively easily (along with his basic guide). And finally Hal9000 showed me that even regular Joe’s could get into it.
Is there a specific kind of fanedits you want to make? I mainly want to edit Summer Sci-Fi Blockbusters, to remove the general pandering, plot filler, poor attempts at humor and unnecessary product placement. Independence Day, Godzilla, Star Trek, The Island and Armageddon……you are all in my sights.
Do you have a faneditor idol? ADigitalMan
Will you continue making fanedits? Yup.
What are your favorite fanedits, which you didn’t create yourself? ADM Star Wars saga, ADM Pearl Harbor, Building Empire, ADM E.T., Superman II: The restored internationaol cut, Howard the Duck HD2DVD, Attack of the Phantom and the Jaws Archives.

CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!
Just wanted to say thanks for listing all the edits you did for Transformers Resparked. I had started a relatively simple edit myself and was looking for ideas for more things to cut. Someone pointed out your edit and it gave me a lot of ideas. I used some of your ideas, or at least some variations, but also going through looking at movie closer I found a lot of other little things I wanted to cut. Some things you cut I also kept, just a matter of taste I guess.
One thing though, you mentioned the advertisement bots and that it was impossible to keep just the dew-bot, and I have to say that’s not true. It only took about 10 minutes to get that to work without the other bots. It just took a small rearrangement of about 5 seconds of video and removing the rest.
Anyway, I probably had like 17 cuts in my original edit and after using some of your ideas and finding new ones I have probably 70-80 and about a 9 minutes shorter running time.
