Success is calculated by score (sum of all average ratings of each fanedit multiplied with the number of ratings for this fanedit)  / (number of fanedits).
So, the more (good) ratings (attention) a faneditor has achieved for his fanedits, the higher the success score will be. As in real life success is not based just on the (rated) quality, but on the overall attention a fanedit(or) received.
