The Man Behind The Mask

He is French and into silent movies… that’s probably why we know nothing.

The speech (written by boon23):

When TMBTM started with his 1930’s versions of Star Wars to continue with the dusty versions, we all knew, this guy loved to alter and artistically play with the image quality. But what was a bit weird in the beginning, resulted in JAWS – THE SHARKSPLOITATION EDIT – a grindhouse version of JAWS that not only made the movie look worse, but also added true 70s style stupidity and cheapness to it, making Steven Spielberg’s masterpiece a cheesy horror flick. This was done so masterfully that people all over the world loved this super-different version and highly praised it as a masterpiece of fanediting art.
The principle to find a new approach in not making things better, but so bad that it’s already funny to watch them, led to his next attack on the most famous movie of all time: STAR WARS. And once again he accomplished to make it utterly entertaining and funny. TMBTM creates versions of movies that you for sure have never even expected to see that way. The element of surprise paired with his skill of presentation results in fanedits that will be remembered. In the Consecutions (namely CHASE and SPACE) he also showed us that he is very able to tell a good story.
This expertise of editing skill and understanding for true entertainment can only result in the FE FANEDITOR AWARD. TMBTM is a great one and movie fans must not miss his works.

  5. I really want to see your Alien Resurrection fanedit as that is a movie I have attempted to make my own fanedit of, but the Xvid link is down and the DVD version is too big for me to download right now. Any help would be appreciated!
