007 The Unofficial Series

First of all, congratulations, this was really a treat. All redundant parts are removed, like boring talk with Blofeld is now reduced to normal length. The whole 4 movies are splited into 11 episodes about 45 minutes long and the main openning is better then any bond movie with great and unique guitar sound.

I was totally hooked... I forgot a lot of things, and the most important thing is that a lot of it in this 4 movies are connected, so how could I remember after 2-4 years until the next Bond movie.

The whole concept as a series is GREAT.

To me, this is the absolute definitive way to view the Daniel Craig Bond films! This is an amazing fan edit that really lets both the story and the action of these films shine much more than they do in the originals. Cutting some of the fluff and focusing on Bond's journey and the overarching story even makes Quantom of Solace interesting in this edit!

The editing is flawless, but I'll agree with a previous reviewer who mentioned the inconsistency caused by cutting the whole Hinx eye-gouging thing. I generally agree with cutting most of the sex scenes, but I think the one with Madeleine probably should have stayed in to make it a bit more clear that there is some sort of relationship developing here before she spouts out that she loves him in the final episode.

I Have come to this version later than most but wanted to watch in advance of the latest release.
I will fully recommend this series, the overall tempo of the series was very good, yes there are a few elements that were taken out but i beileve that those certainly dragged on the individual films.
I will certainly be looking forward to a final couple of episodes to round off the DC Bond Era.

Fascinating concept and superb on a technical level. Only caveat would be that some of the minor trims seem arbitrary, oddly puritanical and miss the point of who Bond is as a character. But really that's a matter of personal taste.

This is a great idea and a very thorough and careful execution! The more digestable form makes it a lot easier for James Bond newcomers to enjoy the storyline of Craig's Bond films. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well these movies function as a series and the tone of the whole thing seemed more consitent than what I thought possible (or remembered from viewing the films in their original form mutiple times).
If I had to point to any "negatives", it would probably be about some minor trims like cutting out the "gorging out the eyeballs" scene in the "Spectre"-episodes that Blofeld later refers to (maybe one cut get rid of that later mention of the scene?). And maybe it would have been possible to have a more consitent episode length. But again, that is just nitpicking. Overall a very satisfying experience! Well done!
