Wraith's Extended Cut was way more enjoyable than the theatrical version. At first, I found the first act a tad long. That's not to say that it was boring, because it wasn't. Patience pays off. Opening with David's prologue and footage of him and Shaw en route to LV-223 in search of the home of the Engineers, really tied Promtheus and Covenant together better, It also gave you more of a sense of the time frame (instead of having to wait till the end to learn that from David). I also enjoyed watching the whole Phobos sequence integrated into the film, This, and other small, early edits, gave more depth to the characters. We get to see their camaraderie and events leading up to the moment they're abruptly brought out of cryosleep. This establishes a much stronger sense of bonding between the crew, which I really enjoyed. It's structured more like Alien in that regard. We get to know this crew a lot better BEFORE all hell breaks loose. Wraith uses David's revelatory monologue along with visual imagary depicting his laboratory machinations right before the very end of the film, It's culled from the "Advent" featurette and further serves to tell us what he's been up to for the past ten years in isolation on LV-223. We now better, and more fully understand the genesis of the xenomorph. I loved it's placement in the film. It should've been included in the theatrical version!

Both audio and visual editing seemed pretty darn flawless to me. I had a showing of Wraith's version here at my home for a few friends and all agreed that his Extended Cut was way superior to the Theatrical release. Thanks Wraith for all your hard work. We loved it!
