I got the DVD of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (the theatrical cut) and thought after watching it's funny but not as funny as the first film because that film from 2004 was a lightning in a bottle.
The audio and visual editing is flawless, I watched the first film just to be prepared for the this cut for how much tighter the narrative is and are the jokes going to land at least made me laugh and it thought.

I do remember that Brick is my favorite character only because he has the funniest one liners that says some idiotic things out of left field sometimes thanks to Steve Carrell, I did watch the clips online of Brick and Chani's (Kristen Wiig) relationship, honestly it's funny but does it fit into the story that makes up justified it so much so that it doesn't feel drag at all....not really but got to make the cut for it to get the story going to understand what's going on and the jokes to land and move to the next instead of dragging.

Having the story focused more so Ron but also his friends is excellent that I wish it was released to not forget about what makes Anchorman Anchorman which of course the humor but also the guys that the news the NEWS added in with satire to drive it home in a very deserved over-the-top way.

Didn't even recognize the faults on the audio editing and visual editing, thank you for cutting Drake and Kanye's cameos in it because even though it's cool to see but look back on it....doesn't add anything other than "look who it is on the film for 6 to 22 seconds on the film."

The fight scene is much better to see to make the sequel's narrative foucesd on Ron's son Walter hoping his dad would show up and be proud of his piano recital cuts to them with stuff on their faces after the battle makes it a "oh my goodness yet still laughing after what we just seen."

Do I recommend this edit of this Value Sized edition: YES
Do you do not enjoy the sequel and wishing it was different of adding or cutting of?: This film is what you need to see that makes the film go much faster.

Me personally I wish a scene would've kept for Brick "funeral and the scene where is Ron explaining to the guys that he "B-Liiiiiiiinnddd"

I remember reading a review of this movie in Empire Magazine at the time of its release which concluded "it needs a good edit." TheMilkmanConspiracy has now provided this!

This “Value sized edition” is a vast improvement on the theatrical release – funnier, snappier and with some of the tedious sub-plots (e.g. Brick’s romance) removed altogether. It flows very well and I didn’t notice any jumps or edits. Even the alternate/deleted scenes that have been added back in are seamless.

This edits is the perfect follow up to the original.

A wonderful edit that keeps the pace just as smooth as the first Anchorman and makes a lot of intelligent, well-thought out trims in order to keep it close to the spirit of the original. I love Anchorman 2 as is, but I think I love this one even more.

This is a classy edit of Anchorman 2. The reduction of racist and sexist material not only makes this a less offensive film, it also enhances the satirical ridicule of contemporary news coverage.

Along with some crude humour, the editor has cut Brick's (Steve Carell) romance, Brian's (Paul Rudd) criticism of Koala Airlines and Ron's (Will Ferrell) fling with his boss, Linda (Meagan Good). The removal of these sub-plots doesn't harm the film. Instead, these changes accentuate Ron's poor parential skills and his troubled marriage with Veronica (Christina Applegate).

When I first watched the sequel, I felt that Veronica had been relegated to a minor character. In this version, she is integral to Ron's character development, which now becomes the central narrative. Also, her desire to broadcast important news is juxtaposed with Ron's wish to entertain the masses. Their contrasting styles provide a topical commentary on contemporary news.

It is a shame that Judah Nelson, who plays Ron's son, Walter, is so wooden. Unfortunately, if his screen time was minismised it would probably affect the climax.

As for the technical aspects; the sound editing is flawless and the mixing of higher and lower resolution footage is excellent. Please note that the MKV format played far better with VLC software than through other media players.

This version of the sequel does not raise the comedic standards to the same hilarious levels as the first film. Some mediocre one-liners remain, but sacrificing them would have spoilt the story. Fortunately, there are enough amusing antics to make this version a pleasurable experience. Unlike with the original film, it is worth watching again!
