By far, the best thing this edit changes is that Superman is "put on trial" for the events of Man of Steel, not for that convoluted frame job in Africa (which to this day I still don't completely understand).

The "Martha" scene works so much better now, mostly because it's no longer the "Martha" scene. It's a moment where Batman sees the parallels between himself and the man who killed his parents. So well done.

The only element that didn't work for me was the Batman Begins flashbacks, because I know Batman Begins so well and love it so much, that when clips of it show up in Batman v Superman, I'm like, "Hang on a minute. That's not right."

But overall, this is certainly an improvement over the theatrical version of the film. Well done!

P.S. Moving the Justice League cameos to the end credits was genius. They worked so much better there.

Finished watching this edit and I gotta say, this is what the movie should've been, even I had some personal ideas how I wish if we had a Man of Steel sequel with a different director or even a Batman/Superman movie that should've been released in theaters.

This is closest to ever get to imagine what it could've been if Zack Snyder, screenwriters and Warner Bros./DC should've made this movie about....make Superman the hero who is a symbol of hope but still feeling as if the world would be much more of better place of all the things he's done, make Batman a pessimistic vigilante with different motives after the events of Man of Steel, have Batman be quietly conflicted on morality whether or not Superman is the biggest threat that could easily turned evil because of his powers through assumptions lead to fear. as a reason why they should fight (even for me personally I wish there was a scene shot for the original cut is having Superman and Batman have a little discussion on how they bring justice in society)

3 BIGGEST IMPROVMENTS:
(1.) Lex Luthor: Years ago during the beginning of the DCEU, I wanted Bryan Cranston to portrayed this character because can you imagine him as Lex but the writing is whole another thing including the direction, but this made Lex least weird and wanna-be Joker-esque trimmed down to him being an unpredictable, bit methodical sort of way on how to destroy Superman and made the world be even more fearful of Superman after what happened in Metropolis.
(2.) "Martha" Scene completely turned around to let Batman see that Lois Lane sees Batman about to kill him with her protecting Superman while he is weak and defenseless because of a Kryptonite spear close to him having Bruce to remember what his dad tell him to never be afraid and Alfred teaching him a lesson, nice audio editing of Joker laughing quietly in the background of just seeing his face after he back away thinking he's no better than the world accuse him as and his way of turning over by reminiscing that he could've gone so far to the point of no return by killing him having the Wayne tragedy Bruce Wayne unfolding through the third act with many meanings.
(3.) The death of Superman making it impactful with Doomsday coming into the picture to imagine during the middle of film is having you thinking Lex is up to something when he had the body of Zod in the water never know what he is going to do with a knife. Having the sacrifice meaningful for Superman to even dare grab a Kryptonite spear to jam it through Doomsday leading to both of them dying after killing it. Having the whole world react and grieving that Superman do care and stopping evil once again and for small circles around certain people Lois and Martha Kent knew that Clark Kent really meant to them personally.
******* THANK YOU FOR NOT INCLUDING THE FLASH AND THE EMAIL SCENES DURING THE MOVIE BECAUSE THAT WAS THE BIGGEST DISTRACTION AND PAUSE MOMENTS OF THE DRAGGING THE STORY FORWARD.

If there's any critique I've had is the Batman Begins origins color grading of it and the scene itself knowing that is Christopher Nolan/Christian Bale's Dark Knight trilogy that took me off a bit and wish there's an actual scene of the DCEU shot that would've shot differently instead of that stupid slow-mo dramatic scene of Bruce's parents dying and have the same dialogue of Batman Begins saying "don't be afraid" but I'll take it a narrative for this fan edit easily as a purpose for Bruce's character growth.

THANK YOU Wakeupkeo for making this the most enjoyable yet impactful edit I've seen so far that I can easily go back to it and watch it all over again even as a film by itself from time to time.

Finally get to see the version that this movie always should’ve been. So much of the excess is removed that adds way more focus on just Batman and Superman. I love that the story is presented as a sequel to the events of Man of Steel as opposed to the events of the Africa incident. This really brings all of the elements together in ways the theatrical and ultimate editions could not.

The biggest improvement here is changing Lex Luthor from an annoying and weird performance to quite an intimidating presence by simply outsmarting everyone using his intellect and resources. He now feels more like an eccentric genius instead of a Looney Tunes character, and actually foils Superman in his own way without an elaborate master plan. It shows how much a story can work when there’s a much better villain.

Overall this is the best version of the movie I think we’ll ever see and it’s a must watch if you want to see the potential that this movie had.

Well this edit was one I was really looking forward to. I saw Batman v Superman in theaters got disappointed, heard good things about the ultimate cut bought it went from a 6 to a 7.5 at best. Coming off Wakeupkeo Man of Steel edit my expectations were set, and in my opinion has made the definitive version of Batman v Superman.
It really is amazing how a few tweaks can drastically change a movie: the infamous Martha, email, and Bruce's childhood scenes have all been fixed, Batman and Luthor have been significantly improved. The pacing flows more better and was more enjoyable to watch. I noticed the soundtrack was changed for certain scenes making them more tonally appropriate.
The only edit that was just a little jarring to me was when Batman grapple hooks the car and drags it. I know why it was changed that way it just felt random that there was now a damaged car just conveniently placed there for him to use. But I can let it slide I guess Metropolis has a junk car problem.
I am now curious what changes he did to Wonder Woman as I really liked that film high praise from this viewer.

I hated this movie when it came out... I can't believe how much better this one is. Great work!
