With so many in-depth reviews, what's really left to say? I watched "Blue Velvet" once before as a fan of "Twin Peaks" and came away very underwhelmed. It felt flashy rather than methodical. I recently decided to give the film a second chance with Q2's edit. While the second viewing may have caught me in a different mood, I can say without a doubt it was this edit gave the experience rhythm and depth. As other reviews note, this edit also makes "Blue Velvet" an American epic -- something it thrives as -- rather than a neo-noir like the theatrical cut.

Unlike most successful edits where it seems that there still is something that could be improved, this version just pulls everything together in a way that feels flawless. Outstanding work and this edit completely changed my disappointment into love.
