The Supreme Cut takes Captain Marvel's origin story and improves upon it by giving Carol Danvers a more defined character arc, from struggling Kree warrior to one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes - an Avenger
Intention:
My biggest issue with Captain Marvel is how she starts the movie as a bad ass, literally knocking her mentor on his ass in the first scene we meet him, and only ends up becoming more bad ass in the end. We're told in dialog that Carol can't control her powers, but we never actually see her out of control? Yon Rogg is supposed to be a mentor but is blatantly sinister pretty early on, leaving no doubt behind that he's not so secretly the villain. Thankfully, a handful of cuts and some added deleted scenes really help to give both Carol and Yon Rogg more interesting characters from the very beginning.
Additional Notes:
Unlike other Captain Marvel edits, I have kept the origins of Fury losing his eye to Goose in tact. I know people hate it, but I don't want to change continuity. The Supreme Cut still maintains perfect continuity with the greater MCU.

I can say honestly that this is a better cut of the original, points I will tell as a honest review:
1. The opening scene = great way to start a film
2. Add in the score from Han Zimmer instead of the forceful drop of the music for comedic effects especially through the third act, makes it more appealing.
3. Extending "Come As You Are" by Nirvana (my personal favorite song from the band) is well executed.
4. Adding a scene with Carol Danvers and the motorcyclist is top notch makes her character tolerable and following through rather than already showcasing how powerful she is from the beginning.
5. Not putting the Avengers Infinity/Endgame mid credit scene through the film is great because than it would've been a surprise later in the films that she arrive soon as Fury calls.
6. Joan Jett's "Reputation" instead of No Doubt is exceptional, I allow it to be more fun to watch through the action scenes.
7. An idea of Carol Danver's character arc rather shoving and displaying a "mystery" is MUCH BETTER.
8. Yon Ragg for it to show him as a mentor than later slowly revealing as a decent plot twist as a antagonist is so much better. (Deleted scene of Yon is revealing and made me think why didn't they include it in the theatrical cut to have his character to be kind of interesting.)
Definitely going back as to imagine as the REAL Captain Marvel (if it's an alternate universe where it is Phase One of the Infinity Saga).

This one both thrilled and saddened me. Because at only two minutes shy of the Theatrical runtime, Marvel had a considerably stronger introduction to their first solo lady superhero. Trimming away almost exactly as much noodling around as there were deleted scenes of personal character beats, with a tighter pace and what feels more like a building and growing arc, rather than a mystery we all knew the answer to anyway. From now on, THIS is the version I'm watching and recommending to everyone who believe Carol Danvers deserved better.

Having watched another two edits for this movie, I can safely say that this is the best one. All the others are mostly trying to tone down Denvers and make her less obnoxious, which is fair and I agree, but Josephdquinn took it a step further and actually improved the pacing and the plot.
I really enjoyed the new introduction to the character and the way he made Yon-Rogg be a legit good guy until the revelation towards the end of the film. With the way he is presented here, you can't tell that something is wrong with him. In this subject though, I'm suprised that the editor didn't remove the "eulogy" from Talos, which reveals to us he is a Skrull, to the dead Skrull after Fury left the scene with the autopsy. I know that when Fury finds out it's not much later, but still, it is much more clever to have the audience find that out alongside Fury when Talos calls him Nicholas, instead of blatantly say it to our face at the autopsy scene. Give the viewers some credit Marvel, we are not stupid!
Technical-wise it was perfect, all the cuts were seamless. Well done!
For me, the movie is salvaged, still though not one of the better ones of the MCU, but I can happily now rewatch it in any future Infinity Saga marathons. So, I most definitely recommend this edit and I bet this will be your go-to version of the movie.
