Synopsis:
Removed the intermission and single musical number that I was never fond of.
Intention:
I first saw this film on VHS then fullscreen DVD, it wasn’t until many years later (when I had some understanding of filmmaking) that I realised it was shot on 65 mm film and I had been missing 40% of the picture. That provided a motive to get the blu-ray, seeing it again for the first time in a long time brought back many happy memories and the recognition that it is effectively a Bond film for children (maybe not surprising considering the shared author, members of the production team and a few actors). It also reminded me how, even as a child, I would recognise the redundancy of the “Lovely, Lonely Man” song and skip past this section: as further confirmation of this, on listening to the West End musical soundtrack album for the first time in about fifteen years I was reminded that this was the only song not carried over.
This edit remedies the issue, where before there was the scene of Truly getting out of Chitty (only to be seen back in again a few minutes later as if nothing happened) we now cut straight to the two Vulgarian spies under the bridge with the dynamite.

Release Information:
Digital
Editing Details:
Slightly boosted colour saturation throughout, found the video ripped from the 2018 blu-ray a bit dull.
Exported Full HD H265 with 5.1 sound.
Exported Full HD H265 with 5.1 sound.
Cuts and Additions:
• Added FanEdit disclaimer and personal plate
• Covered MGM vanity plate web address
• Removed “Lovely, Lonely Man” song and related scene immediately preceding it
• Removed “Entre Acte” and spliced the two halves together so shots are not repeated (now plays as I remember it on VHS)
