Brief Synopsis:
Jesse and Chester are two hard-partying dudes who wake up after a very long night on the town to discover they've lost Jesse's car, but they're so fuzzy on the details of the previous 24 hours that they have no idea where they left said automobile.
Intention:
To remove (almost) all the tension of where the missing motor machine was located
Release Information:
Digital
Cuts and Additions:
- Cut opening credits. Now the film jumps straight from the 20th Century Fox fanfare to Jesse waking up
- Cut everything in the original film from 07:07 to 75:18
- Regraded the 3 shots of Jesse and Chester walking out of their house to match up with the later footage
- Flipped the shot of Jesse reversing the newly-found car to match the previous shot
- Cut the dialogue regarding their tattoos as it no longer happened in this version. Luckily the dialogue was only in the center channel and required next to no effort to fix,
- Added title card for the edit and faneditor credit
- Cut closing credits. The film now fades out from the shot of the sky.

DUDE! SWEET! I've said it before and I'll say it again: "Dude, Where's My Car?" is the greatest dumb movie ever made. It's so dumb, yet somehow genius. This edit, in all its dumb brevity, is genius. "Dude, Where's my car?" .... "Dude, THERE'S your car!"

I attempted this edit back in 2006, poorly ripping it from a DVD. There was no additional editing, which it just cut the movie at looking to finding.

This fan edit, has done a good job in cutting out all the narrative in which if you've seen this movie multiple times, it gets old fast. I like how smooth the video quality is, alongside the editing to add the ending title.

This edit is recommended...if you wanted to cut a pretty dumb movie down to the worst 7 minutes. Look, it is what it is, but the idea of editing this in this way is funnier than the actual material in the edit. The only real humor is in the middle (not included here). I'm going to take the bold stance of saying the only thing you want to watch in this movie is the Chinese food scene they reference in this edit. Just watch that here and thank me later: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqwzuiSy9y0

Is it possible to watch Dude Where's Your Car in 7 minutes?
I'd say it's entirely possible.

DUDE! SWEET!...

One spot where Ashton Kutcher is saying treats on his way out the door and it doubles to "tr-treats".

Besides that, incredible take and a vast improvement on the movie.
