This is a radical re-edit in that there is very little exposition and character setup. Similar to Saving Private Ryan, the majority of the movie takes place in Col. Moore’s memories. This was done to make this a more action-oriented war movie.

This is a shorter cut of Watchmen edited down from the director’s cut. While the overall story and the key plot points are still there, some of the minor character arcs have been abbreviated and some redundant exposition have been cut. This is a much faster paced cut of this epic movie

This is a re-edit of Independence Day with War of the Worlds footage mixed into it.

This is an extensive reworking of Troy that makes Achilles the main protagonist, not Hector and Paris. The romance between Paris and Helen is merely the instrument that brings Achilles to Troy.

FFTSW has some interesting concepts, but the flat attempts at humor and cliched romance made the movie drag. All the mumbo-jumbo about spirits and phantoms didn’t help either. This edit trims some of the subplots so the main story progresses at a quicker pace. Less dream sequences, cheesy one-liners, and convoluted dialogue makes it a more straight-forward, action-oriented sci-fi movie.

This gives CG Kong a classic look while improving the overall pace of the movie. The plot focuses now on the three D’s (Denham, Darrow, Driscoll).

The Island had the potential of being so much more than what it was. It had hints of The Matrix, Blade Runner, and Logan’s Run. But ultimately it relies on cliched action movie devices and the ending doesn’t quite payoff from the setup. Hopefully this edit at least tightens up the story and improves the overall pace.

Only the scenes involving crimes and police work are intact. However, scenes involving minor characters and personal lives have been cut. This removes a lot of the depth for the characters that Michael Mann developed so well, but it also speeds up the movie and makes it a more straight-forward, cat-and-mouse game between the cops and the criminals.

This edit keeps the focus on Jim Braddock and his struggle to keep his family afloat.

This re-edit of Pearl Harbor simply minimizes all the minor characters and distracting sub-plots. What’s left is the principle storyline of two best friends, the woman they both love, and how their lives are affected by the onset of WWII. With a new runtime of just under 2 hours, the movie feels more focused and poignant.

This is a faster cut that focuses on the Navy SEALs doing their mission. Much of the priest/nuns screentime have been cut. Some redundant exposition involving the ethnic cleansing have been minimized. I tried to make this edit less preachy and simply about the SEALs doing their job.

With over 140 edits and 38 minutes cut, what’s left is a well-paced, action packed spy/espionage thriller. Though still not as intriguing as the first MI, noror as dramatic as MI:3, this edit hopefully brings MI:2 closer in feel to them.

Most of the romantic stuff between Crockett and Isabella have been minimized. You can still see something developing between them, but we don’t see them sharing their life stories over mojitos in Cuba.

This is just a faster cut of Meet Joe Black. A lot of the redundancy and minor plot points were removed. Some of the slow dialogue scenes were also re-edited to flow a little quicker.

This is just an alternate cut that leaves out the Ava Fontaine (Bridget Moynahan) character. With Ava out of the picture, the relationship between Yuri and Vitaly carries more weight. Yuri’s narration carries this movie from beginning to end, so it’s pretty simple to follow even with the jumps in time.

This edit of Ladder 49 shows the movie in sequential order without the flashbacks which seemed to deflate the present time suspense.

This is Casino without the Ginger/Lester storyline. The focus is kept on Ace and his casino; Nicky and his gangster antics.

This is a hybrid cut of Armageddon and Deep Impact. Most of of the NASA and action sequences are from Armageddon. Deep Impact footage is used to show the government secrecy and response.
