Synopsis:
To save the Future, Kirk and the valiant crew of the Enterprise must travel to the Past!
Star Trek IV The One With The Whales is a very fun movie. I have often viewed it as "The Trouble With Tribbles" entry in the TOS Movies. A nice blend of humour, character beats and messaging. However, if there is one thing that bugs me about the movie is when smart characters are purposely written dumb just to sell a joke. Whether it is the crew's first bumbling moments on the streets of San Francisco or Chekov's interrogation, I can not help but grimace as our heroes are turned into buffoons.
This fan edit intends to mitigate as much of the idiocy as possible while still retaining the fun flavour of the film.
Of course not everything can be cut, as some things are just too integrated in the narrative to cleanly removed -- such as Spock's over use of colourful metaphors.
There will also be trims/cuts for pacing and the removal of unnecessary repetitive dialogue or unneeded subplots.

A renegade Vulcan steals the USS Enterprise to find God at the center of the galaxy.
Is he a Madman? What strange power does he hold over Spock and Kirk's crew?
Can Kirk stop him? Or is this the Final Adventure for Captain James T. Kirk?
The reality is, Final Frontier is essentially an unfinished film due to a last minute slashed budget and a writers strike. Thus, there are plot holes that can not be filled and narratives that can not expanded upon. But hopefully, with fan created CGI shots and some creative editing, I can create something closer to Shatner's original vision in a workprint style format.

Synopsis:
The three Star Trek reboot films are a mixed bag for me. It's great to have new adventures of Kirk, Spock, Bones, and all of the Enterprise crew. It's a treat to see the Trek universe with modern SFX. It's endearing to see the camaraderie and (some of) the callbacks to the original series. It's a joy to discover (many of) the updates they made, e.g. Uhura still looks awesome but now her input is frequently essential to the story.
But... the storylines are weak, the villains uninteresting, camera work distracting (and already feels dated), too many scenes feel more Star Wars than Star Trek (the worst offender being the Millenium Falcon shaped ship trying to escape the Klingons through a "canyon" in Wrath of Khan Reboot).
Then again... it is more Trek, new Trek. So it'd be great to add these movies to the list of "let's rewatch them every once in a while, in rotation with other ST shows".

With the USS Enterprise temporarily disabled, Christopher Pike becomes acting captain of the starship Discovery in a race against time to find Spock and avoid the destruction of all sentient life in the universe.
Star Trek Discovery Season 2 introduces Captain Pike, Spock and Number One to modern Trek and serves as a backdoor pilot for Star Trek Strange New Worlds (SNW). Many viewers are eager for more SNW but not interested in committing to the first two seasons of Discovery (29 episodes, as it's a very serialized show). I took it upon myself to trim the 14 episodes of Discovery's second season into a 4 episode prequel to SNW. It no longer references any Discovery season 1 events and cuts all side stories, primarily concentrating on Pike and Spock. I call it Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season Zero.

I, like many have always felt Star Trek : Generations was a disappointment. But I saw a good movie in there. I loved the cast, the performances were good, I liked the story, and the vibe of it. Where it failed was a slow and boring pacing. This is not a new take on the story, merely a faster, more exciting, and more engaging presentation of it. It's no longer slow or meandering and it's much more intense.

We focus on Kirk's storyline entirely until he finally meets Hodin and realises he is on a replica. Thus, we – the viewer – follow Kirk's story, and don't discover the truth until he does. This is one of the few episodes where I think doing something like this actually works, since the twist pays off nicely in an otherwise pedestrian episode. To me, it's probably the best way of attempting to gain something decent out of the episode – by having the reveal of the replica being a fake as much a surprise for the viewer as Kirk. Really, very little is lost by removing the bickering between Spock and Hodin, and we don't need to necessarily know how Spock eventually managed to beam down.

Synopsis:
It's becoming more and more clear that "Star Trek: Into Darkness" has become quite the divisive film-is it good, action packed fun, or is it a shameless remake of the greatest film in the franchise? After repeated viewings (like most people I know) the film , for me personally, has landed right square in the middle. It's still well acted, shot, and directed, even with the many problems with the script and how it is a massive retread of "WoK" as well as the 2009 prequel. What I had in mind, was to give this film a fresh new look in re-orderings, the removal of as many references and lip service snippets, and try to fix most of the annoying character flaws the script had.

The NexGen’s final theatrical outing was a messy affair, plagued with an uninspired, safe script that catered more to the whims of its two lead actors than to needs of story and character. It was further hampered by miserable direction by Stuart Baird. This edit tries to remove many of the sillier and offensive moments of the movie, with biggest change being the complete removal of the B4 Android subplot, and leaving the audience with a darker character piece that focuses solely on Picard vs. Shinzon.
