Transformers is a film that came at just the right time in my life - at 13 years old, the concept of giant alien robots fighting each other and turning into all manner of vehicles was mind-blowing. Unfortunately in the years that followed, my tastes in films changed, and the film I once adored became hard to sit through. Since the nostalgia was still there, I started to wonder whether I could trim the film to live up to my teenage image of it, and spurred on by my discovery of Harmy's Despecialized Editions and this website, I went ahead and gave it a go.

This Transformers edit was one that I wanted to make more serious and fast paced. Cut out a lot of the talk and stupid humor.

The Season 3 episodes, "Dark Awakening" and "The Return of Optimus Prime", are combined into a short film.

The story thus far: Will Smith is chasing Trinity after she tries to escape with the secret documents. Sean Connery is not far behind and Nicolas Cage tries to keep up; but Matt Damon intervenes. A huge meta car chase ensues.

This is a version of REVENGE OF THE FALLEN that is pretty similar to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Kitten Calendar Edition, but intended to somewhat appease those who do not appreciate the comic genius that is The Twins.

This trims down the excess fat to speed up the pacing and hopefully increase the sense of urgency of REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, and help the film not drag so much. Aspects that limited the scope to such a seemingly small period of time (relative to the Transformers lifespan) were removed. There were other various poor jokes, continuity errors, geographical mistakes that were corrected as much as possible.

This version of REVENGE OF THE FALLEN cuts out as much as possible of the stupidity, which ruins this movie (especially scenes involving Sam’s parents, Leo and the Autobot twins), and other useless stuff, which does not serve any real purpose to create a faster and more serious cut of the movie.

While maintaining it’s cohesiveness and not having anything seem out of place, this edit removes as much material as possible from the film that didn’t work or detracted from the important aspects. Every plot point that was needed for the story remained intact.

To develop a better cut of “Transformers” which would add a few select scenes or plot elements from “TF2: Revenge of the Fallen” into the story of the first film.

Removes most of the over the top, silly sequences and dialogue of the film, and tightens the story up overall.
