Batman '89 was/is a pretty solid film, but it does not get Bruce Wayne quite right, in my opinion. Also, the film itself does drag a bit. Therefore, I wanted to see if a slimmed down version of the film would play better than the original. In my opinion, it does.

Batman (1989) minus the Bruce Wayne-Vicki Vale romance subplot, and closer in tone and facts to the original comic books.

A taste of what might have been if the powers that be had opted to bring the Caped Crusader back to TV rather than the movies in the late 80s. This particular “episode” focuses on the Joker’s origin.

To make a family friendly, obnoxious, out-dated, 1980s version of the first Batman movie by adding more Pop Songs and upping the color to be big and bright. What the Red Book Edition of Batman Forever and the De-Assified Edition of Batman & Robin did to those movies, 1980s Edition should do the opposite to Batman ’89.
