The re-telling of the Eastrail 177 Trilogy in SPLIT UNBREAKABLE GLASS was the first part of an experiment to retool these movies with a new narrative structure to facilitate surprises, adjustments to reveals, new parallels, new opening and closings and much much more. One can be surprised again.

In what may be a fanediting first, this version takes extensive material NOT used in SPLIT UNBREAKABLE GLASS (Dr Fletcher and David's marital issues) and tells the same (or similar tale) as an alternate version of the events from a very different perspective. Over 50% of this version of events is newly repuposed and previously unused and differently structured. With a different resolution and enough left untold to permit both edits to surprise and re-reveal, UNBREAKABLE GLASS SPLIT and SPLIT UNBREAKABLE GLASS can be watched in any order and still shine a BRIGHT light on M/ Night Shyamalan's genius, patience and discipline in anchoring these characters in the real world.

In order to minimize spoilers, the first part is light on reveals however Spoiler levels increase as you go thru the documentary.
This looks at all aspect of the fanedit process, from sound rebuilding, dialogue manipulation, new scene construction, full audio and score replacments AND the planning and mapping of the new narrative structure and the rationale for the decisions made.

Parts 1 and 2 are available indiviually to prevent excessive spoilers being revealed to viewers.

Redundant threads (marriage issues from Unbreakable and Dr Fletcher from Slpit) and over- exposition (from Glass) have been removed. Scoring has been adjusted to permit music motifs to run through the narrative consistently, Deleted material has been used only where the narrative requires it.

New opening and closing titles have been created and all crew are credited (source IMDB).

Main Changes:
• Remove and much “Comic Book” exposition as possible
• Hide Dr. Staple’s POV and motives until Kevin is shot (to make her seem synonymous with the public view of these people)
• Remove Dr. Staple trying to work with Casey to save Kevin (the Black Clover Society simply plans to kill him)
• Keep the question about the validity of the Kevin and David’s superhero claims in question as long as possible
• Changed the ending to make Mr. Glass the cause of the worldwide video release
