The goal was to make this feel more like the Indiana Jones movies we loved in the 80s. After watching a few edits, I felt they were close, but I never fully got the experience I was hoping for. By removing bad dialogue, CGI and unfunny moments, I hoped to make this seem like a more serious film.

A faster paced version of Crystal Skull. Removed a lot of filler and bad dialogue and weird action sequences, but it still remains essentially the same story as the original.

Going to see Crystal Skull on opening night is probably the worst cinematic experience I've ever had. You could just feel the room deflate, all the energy disappear, the excitement turned to disappointment. I hated it.

However, time has been kinder than expected to the film. Maybe it's comparing it to what passes for modern "adventure" filmmaking, but it's sort of outdated style kind of works in its favor. There's a lot of things that do work about it. Harrison Ford and the rest of the cast are game. Though it's kind of a "left hand" movie from Spielberg, he's still the greatest movie director of our lifetimes, so it's still got some great visuals and action. The story could be intriguing.

This edit aims to eradicate the paternal cause of some questionable narrative that essentially removed the viewer from the fantasy of adventure and also other complaints I had with the level of schlock falling lower than was necessary. It also aims to strike a balance for those that didn’t mind or could live with certain things like cgi bugs or iconic atomic silhouettes... Cutting the best part of twenty minutes was as far as I’d like to go to try to keep a feature length feel. There be aliens ahead, but differently presented...

This is Indiana Jones 4 with Mutt not being Indy's son and with other major changes, including removing most of the annoying parts that most fan of the franchise did not like. There's a new opening with Hugh Jackman in the role of the conquistador. Some new little special effects.

I know this is at least the 5th edit of KOTCS out there, so sue me ;) I've removed an additional 3 scenes (Present in all other edits as far as I know) and the partial retention of Mutt's heroics makes this somewhat unique I hope. For me, Mutt needs those swashbuckling Errol Flynn moments to keep his character alive... he just doesn't need to do acrobatics across two Jeeps and have a spiritual bond with a bunch of CGI monkeys. Let the adventure begin!

A new take on Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, aiming to bring the film into the realm of the watchable by matching the tone (music/colour/pacing/characters) from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Nearly two decades after the last appearance, Indiana Jones is back. The great Steven Spielberg and the great George Lucas, re-teaming with the great Harrison Ford and the great John Williams (cue triumphal brass!), to dig up one of the great adventure series in cinematic history and the result is. . . not bad. . . exactly.

It’s not a desecration of the franchise. It’s just feels . . . tired. So the attempt is to bring some life into a tired film.

This edit puts the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones films, back on course. With corrected color and a new approach, this edit seeks to make Crystal Skull look, feel, and play like a classic Indiana Jones film.

A streamlined version of the film, in which the material that catered to the lowest common denominator and children under 5 was removed.
