After my Robocop edit, the planning was to start with my Terminator edit, but in October is the time of Halloween, so first i did the halloween cut of Rob Zombie.
In preparation of The Terminator edit i do first a double feature.

A so called 1 hour cut of two movies.

The first is Cujo aka Rabid the well known book of Stephen King.
The book was great, and also the movie, except in the movie is a short of happy ending.
Well, not in this cut, i stick to the book.
In this cut is no "monster in the closet" Taddy Boy dreams of a monster and that's it.

The Battle between Wallace and the Dog on the farm was great, so i put the horror and action in this one hour cut.

The second is Intruder aka Closing Time.
A nice sick slasher of the makers of Evil Dead
Great effects, but the "build up" to the first murders is way too long but of course not in this cut.
A nice rampage in this one hour cut.

The first of a double features i have in mind, i think it's ready in november.

The cover is coming up.

Sounds great.
Can't have too many chillers this time of year.
How far along on this are you?

I start yesterday with the editing of Cujo.
I update this of course if there is something new.

A modest cut-list, perhaps?

You get the (complete) cut list in time when i finished this project
The reason for that is that i always change some things in the editing process
But, like always a lot of dialogue is cut that holds up the story

Some cuts:

In my opening scene of Cujo the boy dreams that the dog is bitten by a bat.
That bullshit of "The monster in the closet" is cut out

The family of Joe Camber is going away for a week, well, happy trip, because you don't see any scenes of the
woman and the son after that.

The first visit on the farm of Camber Wallace and the boy sees the dog the first time.
Well, not in this cut, i think it's better that the first meeting with the dog is when he is totaly fucked up.

Camber sees that the dog is sick in this cut, not his son in the original
There is no happy end in this, forget about it, i cut this in a way that there are probable no survivors
It's a Maniac cut, with a few exceptions in my edits there are mostly no happy endings
But, you never know, when i am in a sensitive mood  maybe i change it at the last moment.
I don't know what to do at the moment with Intruder, that is coming up....

Final Cover:

I am working on a full cover for this, will post when I finish it. I am using a simple style that can hopefully be used for future Double Features from Maniac

Definitely interested in Rabid... Cujo is one of my favourite King movies. Will be interesting to see what happens with an unhappy ending, particularly as whenever I watch it I'm always so relieved the little boy survives.

The "Rabid" Cujo segment is done.

I used some music overdub of Body Double and The Mist.

Further cuts are in the trip of Victor Trenton for his work.
The Monster words are cut.
At some scenes in the original you see the dog reacting at the camera, that is cut in this print.
Alternative ending.

If you like the original, don't see this one!

I think when i talk about the editing, this cut is succeeded, but on the other hand it makes me feel like an asshole to let it be this way, but because it all works for what i had in mind, i must leave this cut the way it is now.

Well, tomorrow i start with the "Closing Time" Intruder segment.

You know ... there's a lot to be said for chopping most of King's films into quick grinders.

Here is the cover I did for this release, I tried to mimic the old Drive-in double feature posters for the front

That is a very good cover for the "dvd lovers".
I use the front artwork for the release.
Nice job man.

This cut is done.
The editing of Intruder "Closing Time" was real easy.
I cut out a lot of mumbo jumbo about the store, and some girls talk.
The search of the friend of Cox is trimmed, so that's about it.
What we got now is a real slaughterhouse for almost an hour.

Well, some little things to do and this goes to mega.
Release in the beginning of November.

JJE-187 does the best style artwork in my opinion, especially Double Feature artwork. Did all of mine and loved them.
