This week i begin to work on this one
I already explained the idea behind it in future projects to make this an adventure full action-packed war movie.
There is no search for a private Ryan
I use in this one also some choir music to make it more dramatic
I use also slow-motion effects and of course as usual i cut this a lot faster

I think this is ready in Juli.

I like a straight up balls to the wall war version. have you looked into other war movies that might go good with this for a double feature? I think something like Gladiator would be cool to go with this or maybe another World War II movie like Fury or Pearl Harbor or Inglourious Basterds. You could also do a Speilberg/Lucas double feature and use Red Tails as the 2nd feature

I think about it.
First i must see how long this cut is gonna be before i put this in some DF
Gladiator and Inglourious basterds are good idea's

I put the Saving Private Ryan edit together with Der Untergang
I think a double feature of those two works perfect
First we see the happenings in SPR and then the final days of Hitler

I finished yesterday the workprint of Eternal Memory, the Saving Private Ryan edit
One of my favorite war movies, the beach scene was a knockout fantastic done
It's hard to believe that this really happened but it did

Well, this cut runs 93 minutes, i cut a whole lot of dialogue and like i said the mission to search for a private Ryan is NOT in this cut
I wanted to make a fast story with a lot of action and after the beach scene Miller and his Soldiers walking across the country to look for Nazis to take them out
Like some Death squad.
Maybe i have too much imagination but when i saw the final workprint i think it works

I used other colors, i wanted to make this more horrible, more depressive and i tried to create the same color as in The Book of Eli
The music overdub is from Hans Zimmer and some choir music to make it more dramatic

All the cuts are coming up after i finished "The Final Days"  (Der Untergang)

The Eternal Memory cut is done
It runs exactly 92 minutes
I cleaned it up a little bit and now (for me) it's perfect
Still busy with the second one The Final Days......

The Final Days edit of Der Untergang is done
I cut it down to 100 minutes
Der Untergang is told from the story of Hitler's  secretary but i cut that to a minimum
In this cut you see Hitler (great performance of Bruno Ganz) in his bunker loses his control over the war and you see the misery and war on the streets in Berlin
A lot of dialogue is cut from the women in this edit and from the soldiers
Also the children of Goebbels singing a song for "Uncle Hitler" is not in this cut
A song for Uncle Hitler  yeah right.....

LIke i said, i think a nice combination with the SPR cut so in begin of Juli i release this DF

Well, up to the next:  The Gecko Brothers and Zombie Terror  (Dusk Till Dawn and Planet Terror)

Eternal Memory and The Final Days runs together 191 minutes  (6.73.GB)
A little bit long but i decided to make also the cuts separately so the released version would be the DF but if you want to see this
as two stand-alone edits, you can always give me a pm

I delivered this edit two days ago in the IFDB
