**THIS FAN EDIT IS NOW COMPLETED AND RELEASED**

Hey guys,
Just recently watched Grown Ups 2, and I have to say, as a person who really enjoyed Grown Ups, it was a complete let down in terms of overall story, new characters and plot flow. I felt as if several plot points introduced early in the film were left unanswered, giving it a dis-jointed, incomplete feel.
Nick Swardson was ridiculous, and to see him in every shot in this film makes him feel more and more like the Jar Jar Binks of Grown Ups.
I watched Grown Ups 1 & 2 back-to-back and came up with the idea of editing GU2 to bring it closer to the feeling of the first.

One of the main changes I made was eliminate 90% of Nick Swardson's scenes, leaving intact a few shots to explain his nagging presence. All the 'WHAAAAT's are gone, Tim Meadows' balding and unfunny Urkel looking son 'Bumpty' has been cut down as much as possible as well.
The Burp-Snart 'running gag' is cut out, and so are alot of unnecessary and unfunny sequences that I found over-the-top and quite lame.
I have added one Deleted Scene, and I plan to include more. I've also added Van Halen's 'Summer Nights' to the intro and Bob Welch's 'Sentimental Lady' to the outro, to link the two movies more closely.

*New Details:
In short, here is a general list of scenes/shots edited from the movie:

1. Van Halen's 'Summer Nights' intro after 'Happy Madison'.
2. Deer running round the Feder house hold trimmed. No shower masterbating, no deer eating dog food, no unnecessarily prolonged deer pissing into Adam Sandler's face. Fat mailman dialogue cut. No Salma Hayek bra jokes.
3. Chris Rock's unfunny Nicki Minaj joke cut. Ronnie's ass dance trimmed.
4. Adam Sandler's deer reference cut from conversation about Craig asking his crush out.
5. Nick Swardson's painful intro scene trimmed because it could not be removed.
6. Lame Adam Sandler bus-driver line cut, Swardson snoring and eating cheetos while asleep is cut.
7. Ronnie's second ass dance is cut.
8. Adam and Rock playing Swardson like a puppet in the bus driver's seat cut.
9. Jon Lovitz's pervy yoga scene COMPLETELY cut. He doesn't appear in this cut.
10. Muscular lady's jock-strap joke cut.
11. Swardson's painfully unfunny Kmart sequences completely cut.
12. Tim Meadows' 'Whaaat' reduced to the first time, jokes re-arranged. Rock choking Meadows cut.
13. Bumpty asking Rock's daughter out is trimmed. Ass showing trainer dude climbing a rope cut.
14. Kmart parking lot trimmed. No Burp-snarts. No police escorts. Ice-cream-pooping largely trimmed.
15. Higgins-tire sequence. Swardson gone again. Sandler breaking Keithie's leg trimmed. No 'Dont tell your motherrrrrr'.
16. Higgins trying to delay officers leaving his house Deleted Extended scene inserted.
17. Bumpty's 'whaaaat's all gone. No more 'Whaaaat' running gags. No Bumpty freestyling on his date.
18. Higgins making out with the Muscular lady's biceps largely trimmed. Lamensoff and Bean watching it also largely trimmed.
19. Swardon's Boy George/gay conversation with Fitness trainer left in, but cut after 'God he's HOT!'
20. Steve Buscemi's lame hip-hop slang lines removed.
21. Steve Austin and Sandler stage a confrontation. Sandler's unfunny 'pretend' provocation largely cut down.
22. Ronnie's 'biting' running gag is completely cut.
23. Lots of other minor cuts and changes.

What do you guys think?
Your thoughts?

I understand your disdain toward Grown Ups 2 and/or this fan edit, but I think people might actually like it, at least a tad better than the original movie. Well, for people who liked Grown Ups 1, if not all. :)

Rajithwarren, I can assure you Neglify's reply was 100% serious and wasn't trying to show disdain for your project. Heck, he made Jack and Jill extended edition!

Oh! I thought he was being sarcastic. My bad.

You probably confused him with me.

Hey guys, I have finished re-editing Grown Ups 2, and I will be looking to upload it tomorrow. I had a technical issue with rendering an upscaled DVD version and so I got the Blu-Ray and got a chance to make some new alterations as well, so yeah. Once I've submitted it for review, I'll post another update on this thread on when you can get the link from me :)

This blu ray is made by Sony and apparently is protected by Cinavia. If this is true your edit might freeze up every so often with Cinavia messages.

Haha yeah I hate it!
For this edit though I used DVDFab.

Guys, I finally finished editing, rendering and uploading the file, and I have submitted the fan edit submission form. Neglify TV's Frink whats the next step for my edit, and for this thread as well?

Cool, your submission has been received. The thread for it is private for Admins and Academy. I'll send you a PM shortly.

Review:

I consider myself an Adam Sandler apologist. The man has made a lot of really funny movies. Yes, he's made his share of bad films. But even the worst ones are still enjoyable. There's something about the man that I find funny. I mean damn, I did a full-length podcast style commentary with g1orkatsos examining his filmography. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I enjoy Adam Sandler movies and I don't give a damn if you don't like him.

That being said... Grown-Ups 2 is a terrible movie. So many dumb, tedious jokes. It wasn't pleasant to watch. Thankfully the Rajith Cut is miles above the theatrical. (Well maybe like one or two miles above. He doesn't turn it into Shakespeare or anything.)

Gone are many nauseating running jokes and crude humor that falls flat. The stupidest characters are left (mostly) on the cutting room floor. What's left is all the funny stuff (and still a good amount of lame stuff).

The editing is excellent. Except for maybe one spot, I doubt you'd be able to tell anything had been cut. In fact, I was amazed how many one-liners were cut when I finished watching the edit and read over the cutlist.

BUT. This edit is recommended only if you're a fan of Sandler movies. If you hate him with a passion, don't waste your time watching this garbage.

Now that I look at her, Ping does almost kind of look like Kevin James.

Thanks for the review! Can't wait for all the people to watch it! I've also sent you a PM.

Don't get too excited...this is Grown Ups 2, after all. You, Neg, and FC may be the only people on the internet who own a copy. ;)

I guess toilet humor is appreciated by even canine boys. :-P
