What is it about? To remove the most offensive elements of the SE and try different improvements than what LFL made.

original film name: Star Wars IV: A New Hopelarge product photo
film studio name: Lucasfilm
Date Original Film Was Released: 25 MAY 77
Date Edit Was Released: 25 MAY 2005
Original Runtime: 121 minutes
New Runtime: 125 minutes
Amount of time Cut/Added: 4 minutes added
Cuts removed/added/extended:

1. Custom sound mix, joins the 1997 surround channels and the 2004 surround channels together, to somewhat straighten out the music mix while preserving the FX. The score, in essence, mixes closer to dual-mono in the surround channels for a more natural surround balance than the offical 2004 mix. Additionally, certain sounds from the OT have been restored.
2. "Turbo" Title Card has been fixed (Thanks to Darth Editous!!!)
3. Mos Eisley entrance has been trimmed down somewhat.
4. Greedo does NOT fire at Han!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. Optional setting to auto-skip Jabba the Hutt's scene. This is not true seamless branching and pixellates at the cut point, but this is a limitation of the authoring software itself. It's ugly, but extremely brief. For those who hate the Jabba scene, this may be the lesser of two evils.
6. Optional alternate subtitles for Jabba the Hutt's scene, that make his dialogue more threatening, more purposeful, and less redundant from the Greedo dialogue.
7. Shot of Luke's green saber aboard the Falcon is fixed (thanks to Darth Editous!!!)
8. Post-credits easter-egg was added. Something was removed from somewhere else that was a better fit in exactly this spot. STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS!
9. And in the dual-layer version specifically:
The 2004 Mix (Surround)
The 2004 Mix (Stereo)
The 1997 Mix (Surround)
"ADigitalMan's Heresy" mix

DVD - Features:

1. (SL & DL)125 minutes NTSC Single or Dual Layer
2. (only DL)The 2004 Mix (Surround)
The 2004 Mix (Stereo)
The 1997 Mix (Surround)
"ADigitalMan's Heresy" mix
3. (SL & DL) Static menu

Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original:

To remove the most offensive elements of the SE and try different improvements than what LFL

Time needed for the edition: 5 days
Persons involved: Darth Editious helped with the dual layer version
