Ultra Violence. A Fanedit of Clockwork Orange

A "Fan" edit of Clockwork Orange
The release is probably by the end of May 

Cropped to 2.35.1 widescreen because i think that this is the way it had to be filmed
I have BIG plans with this edit

I try to do a 90 minutes cut of this
The scene that Alex is forced to see some footage is gonna be totally recut in this edit
I use at some points also some black and white and other visual effects 
So this edit is "build up" in the progress and i don't know what the end result is gonna be
But again:  This could be disturbing to some, for me personally i don't give a shit, it's an edit of a movie nothing more
Of course, i don't like real shit what you can see on the internet but Dario Argento ones said:
I love the art of (movie) violence.
One example the rape scene in clockwork is very well executed
The way she was standing there with those red socks and that red hairy bush in that camera angle well, that's art man!
But if you can't handle this edit stay away from it.

As usual updates are coming up with the cuts and other things.

I let my girlfriend watch some inserts that i probably use for this cut to see what kind of reaction a woman has on this cut...
...she was a perfect victim...
...the only thing i hear was after a few minutes watching:  "you're sick"

Seems about right.

The idea's of the soundtracks i use are from Texas chainsaw (1974) Midnight Express (1978) Irreversible (2002) and some others

After i finished my DF of Cronenberg yesterday i begin with the preparations of the Ultra Violence cut
This plays in a futuristic London so in my cut it's London 2001 taken from the 2001: A Space Odyssey

I turn this movie all upside down with inserts and other music
Cropped to 2.35.1 also as the same format as A Space Odyssey

In this cut the experiment takes 3 days:
He looks at Rapes and Murders
The inserts are really violent but the plan is to make that black and white.
I use also reverse and slow motion.

Like i said , this is a build up of idea's in the process, i know now how it will end and i hope it will be ready by the of the month May

I have some problems in the editing with the fact that two of is gang members are suddenly police officers, i don't know of if i let that scene in but i never heard  of criminals with the possibility to become a police officer after that.
      

But again: this cut is only for the guys with a strong stomach

In the next update i give more information about the inserts and cuts

It seems like (correct me if I'm wrong) you're still working on/looking for clips to use for the new black-and-white/ultra-violent experiment section. Your description made me think of a movie from the 90's entitled Begotten that is, imho, pure black and white, violent, nightmare fuel. Might be worth checking out if you're still looking for clips.

Good luck, as a fan of depraved films, this sounds excellent.

I am very busy at the moment with this cut.
But i think i have everything i want for this project
I worked yesterday 6 hours straight to get some footage together that runs 4 minutes and 29 seconds
At that moment i was finally satisfied with the result

Some cuts for now:

Alternative opening with new credits  (same soundtrack)
Voiceover is cut of McDowell with the beating of the old man
Also some cuts in dialogue, it looks now that they beating him up for fun
Some voiceovers of McDowell are deleted in this cut

The rape scene is with background music combined with Singing in the Rain to make it more luscious and more violent
I also use tracks of Wendy Carlos that was not used for the original

When Alex is in his room with the Beethoven track he has some visions of violence 
Well, those visions are cut because then we see the first insert of mine and that is a little "more violent" i guess......

Like i said a lot of work to do, i work on the print and also on the inserts so it takes a while....

You are going to insert a real-life child murderer into your fanedit? Doesn't that seem a little tasteless to you?

It is the SAME hospital he is taken to,  There is NO stuff of Brady at all
 DeLarge is insane just like Brady and Sutcliffe that is the only connection but you see not any footage of Brady

While I eagerly await to see what Maniac does with A Clockwork Orange, I have a feeling this edit is going to go over like a lead ballon because of the extreme route he has chosen to take. Hopefully after a few of the extreme rape-y edits are out of the way and he moves on to Cronenberg and other more conventinal horror movies the drama will subside

Oh okay sorry. So what is this "Broadmoore" hospital then? I can't find anything about it on Google.

Sutcliffe is sitting a life sentence there
If i remember correctly ( it could be that i am wrong) Brady was also a "guest" for a while (in the early days)
Brady is sitting now in the Ashworth hospital sinds 1985

I think it's more convincing that Alex Delarge is taken there for the experimental test
He is convicted for one murder but he is in my cut a suspect of more murders
Although there was not enough proof that he did it he is still a suspect.

So, i keep that in the storyline to make him a "serial killer"

But it has nothing to do with Brady i mentioned him only that he was sitting there in the early days

I corrected it
It's without a "E"

But, if i am typing in Google  "Broadmoore Hospital"  then automatically you see "Broadmoor Hospital" so it's a mystery to me
that you can't find it.
It took about 2 seconds to go to that hospital no matter if it was written with a "E" or not

But on the other hand you know now what i mean.....

After the "important" discussion of the Broadmoor Hospital i have some more cuts of this project:

 - Conversation between Alex his parents is cut
 - Meeting Mr Deltoid in his parents bedroom is trimmed
 - The fast forward scene with the two girls is cut
 - Some dialogue is cut between Alex and the gangmembers
 - The slow motion scene with the fight of Alex and the gangmembers is trimmed with other music overdub
 - Discussion to visit the Catlady is trimmed
 - Scene in police station is trimmed, also some scenes in the prison
 - Alex watching all the  (original) violence is cut except for the Hitler footage
 - Alternative ending

 I am on this point with the rough cut, it could be that i reset something but
 on this point there is a lot of work to do with the inserts

 I use one or two instrumental versions of Singing in the Rain
 By the inserts i use other music overdub as mentioned before
