Hello all, it's been awhile! After taking a hiatus from fanediting I decided to dip my toes back in the water with this little baby project. It's an attempt to recreate the Apollo 11 landing sequence using the documentary Apollo 11 (2019), and the biopic First Man (2018), with a bit of an extra punch using a classic track from Interstellar.

The landing sequence in First Man (2019) is almost perfectly accurate to the real Apollo 11 landing event, aside from a couple of minor timing issues. This edit attempts to sync up the dramatized landing with actual landing footage and audio taken from the documentary Apollo 11 (2019), as well as making the whole sequence even more exciting with Hans Zimmer's incredible soundtrack from Interstellar (2014).

This is a rather short project (runtime: ~6 mins), that I mainly used as a bridge to switch from Premiere to Resolve. I think it turned out pretty great!

Changes:
-Spliced together landing sequence from First Man and Apollo 11 so they line up historically (using the documentary as a baseline, as it unfolds in real time)
-Removed all audio from the First Man footage and replaced it with newly sourced audio for sound effects.
-Added previously mentioned removed dialogue back in, overlayed with real audio from the documentary
-Replaced score with two tracks from Interstellar
