Godzilla VS Kong: The Kongdensed Edition

I love Kaiju movies and GvK was one of the most fun movies of the genre. It was simple, direct and really entertaining. The only nitpick I had with this movie was that the Millie Bobby Brown's subplot felt pointless and really distracts from the main story. It could be completely removed and the movie still works.

Being talentless myself I was waiting for someone more capable to come to edit this movie and here came fRiEnD.

His edit is seamless, apart from the aforementioned subplot there are quite a few more edits here and there polishing the movie even more. After finish watching the movie I briefly went back to the theatrical cut to see if I could spot what was edited out.

That said, there are some things that I would have left, but that was just personal preference. In the end, the best things are still in the movie and the worst are out, and that is all I can ask for.

Thank you for letting me enjoy this movie once more.

Flawless edit imo. Didn't notice any cuts or issues with the narrative. Does what it says on the tin; condensed, action packed, demolition :-)

Although it was short, it did need to be cut off of what they saw in the theaters, well, some people will blame the script, which, had a lot of nonsense in this film, and you came and changed the mood of the movie, and I watched myself, and Enjoyed, 'cause the story, says the tille ''GODZILLA vs. KONG'', it didn't have to be the story of the two of them, it was only Kong in this film, you focus on him to get better the plot, and you did a GREAT choice, now it looked perfectly, I truly recommend this edit.

This was a pleasure to watch. I hated a lot of what was in the theatrical and this edit really streamlined everything down and ditched most of the silly, stupid aspects of the film (and thank God for that)

Editing, audio and video looked and sounded great--however my one gripe is the dialogue channel. Similar to the theatrical and bluray its almost just above barely audible. I remember sitting in the theater and for a lot of the dialogue I was like

"what did they just say?"

One of the worst sound level mixing jobs I have ever come across (I should clarify not the edit but the film). Seeing that much of the music was replaced and or added, this tells me the dialogue track could have been by itself and if that is true wish it would have been raised by at least 10-13DB so you can actually hear what the actors are saying, I gave it a 9 in audio and video quality for that reason (video if by itself would have been a 10)

Overall, it was a fun enjoyable and straight to the point film, worth your time to check out- cheers

I really enjoyed it. Nothing from memory stood out, so the editing is top notch for such a fast action packed film. Action scenes are combined to make the film more explosive. I applaud the editor for making Nathan a much more worthy hero of the film. He's beefed up somewhat and is much more watchable with the goofiness toned down in both his character and towards the film in general.

The visuals and audio are brilliant. There were some sound cues taken from other films that I recognised.

I agree with another reviewer that although Charles Dance is a great actor and one who's work I respect, his intro scene could have been dropped for the edit. It wasn't really needed as it didn't add anything.

Overall I think the edit was exactly what was needed to improve the film. All the right cuts had been made to streamline a bloated action film into an actual monster movie with no unnecessary scenes and keeping the actors lines to a minimum. Brilliant job.
