Other low scores, c’mon. I think people miss the point of this.
This is HAL 9000’s version.
The stressed out AI who more or less unravels before his passengers’ eyes.
While the humans take precautions when evaluating scenarios, they don’t factor in HAL’s almost omnipotent intelligence.
Whereas some disliked the rather open ended conclusion, I found it darkly comic. (SPOILER) Here, Dave is SOL.
Editing is solid, the plot is cohesive.
And – this short actually occurs in space, damnit!
