Synopsis:
What If Bruce Banner had not left Earth? What if Black Widow still helped me while he fled from the military? What if the super soldier serum and the serum used to create the Abomination were connected? What if Tony Stark took the death of Charlie Spencer too much to heart? What if the events of Civil War still occured throughout all of this? Follow the unfolding story. of an alternate universe both strange, yet familiar.
Intention:
The idea would be to only use about 15% or 20% of Civil War footage, with the rest of the movie being incredible Hulk. The motivations are that the army are trying to recruit Banner for Tony's team to go after Steve Rogers and his own team per Black Widow's suggestion (when Tony suggests if there's "any shot" of getting him on the team to her), and we follow Banner's adventures. In this alternate universe, Banner never left Earth and reconnects with old flame Betty Ross.

I'm a big fan of Civil War, it's my #5 Marvel film, and I have nothing against The Incredible Hulk, it's an average movie, the plot drags a little at some point, but it's about what I expected it to be when I saw it.
I was really interested in this edit as I thought it was a cool "What If..." scenario to see what would happen if Hulk was in Civil War. The beginning was really cool, merging the locations of the Civil War/Incredible Hulk openings was really smart. The Iron Man 2 integration with Black Widow was also really neat.
However, besides these two things, the narrative was a total mess in my opinion. It didn't feel like I was watching a "What If..." scenario, it felt like I was watching The Incredible Hulk, being interrupted by Civil War and Iron Man 2. There was practically no plot connection, besides 'on-the-run' action and General/Secretary Ross.
I'm not trying to be rude, and I could understand why it may seem like I am, by giving two one-star reviews...I think it's a really cool concept, and the technical elements of this edit were all great. But the narrative was all over the place to me, and I did not enjoy it.

A very intriguing alternate-universe look at what happened if the events of The Incredible Hulk occurred during the events of Civil War. An interesting and thought-provoking central concept made better by skilled execution, with a really well-done, well-thought out storyline and great editing throughout. The way both films are intertwined is quite clever. Very impressive work.
