As an avid fan of this franchise, I found this edit to be precisely what I had been hoping for. While I did enjoy the theatrical release during my cinema experience, I couldn't help but notice a few minor issues, particularly with certain scenes feeling overly drawn out. Additionally, I found the portrayal of the Helena character to be more agreeable in this edited version, which significantly enhanced the coherence of the storyline.

Thefoxman skillfully addressed all of these concerns, resulting in what I now consider to be the definitive version of the film. Consequently, I have upgraded my rating on Letterboxd from 3 stars to a solid 4 stars for this edited iteration. It has undoubtedly become my preferred rendition of the movie, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow fans of the franchise.

Outstanding, outstanding...OUTSTANDING!

Audio/Video Quality 10 - No comments

Audio Editing 10 - Flawless
Visual Editing 10 - Flawless
Narrative 9 - All the issues I had, at least all but one, were addressed and dealt with with aplomb! I knock one off since the opening is still too long for my taste, but it was an improvement regradless.

I watched this with my son who had NOT seen the original. He though it was the best since Last Crusade. I afterwards explined some of the material that had been removed, and he was frankly stunned..

Enjoyment - 10...and if I could give this an 11 for enjoyment, I certainly would. EVERYTHING, felt on point..truly the version we should have got back then. This has already been burnt to disc and slipped into the case with the words "WATCH THIS VERSION ONLY" emblazoned on its surface.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wow! I’m speechless! Thanks so much for your amazing review and kind words. I’m really glad you were able to enjoy it with your son. Last Crusade was the first movie I remember going to see with my Dad so this means a lot!

Can’t thank you enough again!!!

Thank you a lot "The Fox Man".
I enjoyed this version much more. This version is more "dark/serious" than the original, and it's a good thing.
The tuk-tuk scene is more pleasant now.
I think the scene at the beginning with the German can be cut more.
In the scene when Indy takes the car and nobody notices the body of the driver on the road,
During the chase, the two Germans in the back siege complain but do nothing to stop Indy from driving, which still bothers me.
Anyway, Great, great job. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your awesome work "The Fox Man"

When I watched "Indiana Jones and the Dial Of Destiny" in theaters for the first time, I considered the film too long for such a simple story. In addition to other things like the CGI that varied from good to the Tintin film produced in CGI in 2011.
In this version, we have a simple story told in a short time. 90% of the bad CGI is trimmed. Unfortunately, the color grading is still bad, but overall, it was an improvement over the theatrical version.

This edit is very good and is now my go-to version of the latest (and final) installment of the Indy franchise.
I did not dislike the theatrical version of this, but didn't love it either. I would call it pretty good, now I would call it very good. The original felt too long, it dragged in some parts. This version tightened it up quite nicely. I highly recommend this edit!
