I've found that horror movies are extremely difficult for me to watch and enjoy after seeing them once or twice, but I pushed through because I wanted to see how this edit played out.

In short, flawlessly.

Well done my friend, my only complaints exist with the source material, and I do not believe you could have done a better job. This followed the book extremely well from what I remember (admittedly, it's been a while) and using classical music to re-do certain scenes (namely, the opening shot) was very tasteful, and I loved it. I will be recommending this edit to anyone and everyone, regardless of whether they've seen the originals, a goal I believe all edits should strive to achieve!

Extremely well-done edit, matching (as closely as I remember) the structure and editing of the book. Possibly a bit long for a single-sitting, it still brings the two halves of the story into an enjoyable, single whole. One of the issues I had with the original release, specifically for part 2, was that the effects felt less real and more Evil Dead. This edit helps defuse that a bit, with the wilder CG effects scenes being mixed in with the slightly more subdued effects shots from the first film, giving a more even tone throughout. I would definitely recommend this to fans of both the book and the two films!

I was so lucky to stumble on this awesome edit of "It: Chapter 1" (2017) and "It: Chapter 2" (2019) into a format closer to the narrative of Stephen King's novel.
I didn't even notice that this movie was 4 hours long because what this does so successfully is balance the adults story with their narrative as kids. It gives the story more weight and keeps it moving right along. It actually makes Pennywise seem scarier cutting back and forth between films.
Had I not told my partner that this was a fan edit, he would have never guessed, the quality is perfect. I look forward to watching again and would recommend this to anyone.

Update: I watched it again last night, and you'll hear complaints that It Chapter 2 (2019) wasn't as scary as it was with the kids. That the movie didn't explain them being scared by Pennywise, and it is so clearly evident that the reason why that happened was because all the adult sections were sandwiched into the 2nd movie, it didn't hit as hard as it does in THIS edit.

While long, this is an enjoyable weekend watch. I've never read the book, but I did watch the movies. I generally liked both but found this structure to be significantly more gripping and engaging.

A music cue or two felt like it needs a bit of EQ as we went from room to room - this will better indicate the audio traveling through space/separated by walls from our subjective audio perspective. I remember the volume dropping - that in tandem with adding a low pass will give it a muffled through the walls sound.

There are places where the titles seem to pop up too frequently or are otherwise distracting. Maybe places them on black or, better yet, a paper/book texture?

I thought the closing note about where and how long it took to write the book was very cool. I'd love to see more touches throughout that speaks to this being the book.

Other than that, I'd love to see an abridged version of this edit as some beats become repetitive.

That's all I have to say. Great edit! Thanks very much Paulisdead2221. I highly recommend it to anyone who found the separated timelines wanting and has 4+ hrs :D
