Synopsis:
Jumper was a fairly forgettable movie, I've cut out most of the subplots, added a few deleted scenes, added new music, and tightened up almost every scene.
Intention:
To take a forgettable film (Jumper) and turn it into something somewhat entertaining by cutting it up scene by scene and removing all of the pointless filler while giving it emotional heft by adding good music.
Additional Notes:
John Powell composed the OST for Jumper, so I've mainly used his music from the Bourne Trilogy, his style really blends in well with the film.
I will eventually be doing a V2 of this edit which will have some huge differences. If you have any suggestions, leave them in my thread or feel free to send me a PM. Both versions will be available once V2 is out because they'll be quite different beasts.

This edit does a good job at removing all the weak points of this film that could be removed. However, the film itself is fundamentally poor and as a result, through no fault of Smithers, I still didn't enjoy the edit. Additionally, a few too many scenes between David & Millie were cut, resulting in their relationship feeling hollow.
Overall, this edit is superior to Jumper in most ways, so if you liked the original I'd check it out.

This edit is rough. The cuts are jarring and the story you've created is lacking any substance. You leave in questions to dialogue you cut and make some of the rough scenes even rougher. What was a much shorter film still felt long and the added audio is distracting over the mute scenes.
I like your attempt to speed up the pace and I think there is potential for a great fanedit but this one is not for me.

I watched the original a long time ago and I always thought it was an ok movie but not as good and engaging as this edit was. This edit tightened everything up and kept the story and action moving constantly and I didn't find myself bored like I did with the original. This is a really great edit that removes all the unnecessary side plots and keeps you engaged and is now my go to version from now on.

I watched the original a long time ago and I remember thinking it was fun but forgettable. This edit tightened everything up and kept the story and action moving constantly. I didn't find myself bored at all like the original. This is a really fun edit that removes all the unnecessary side plots and keeps you engaged. Much preferred over the original!

I've seen the original more than a few times - haven't in a while. Saying all that, I have to admit, I much prefer this cut! This is my go-to! Great job, Smithers - would love to see more work from you!

A wonderful yet subtle work that made a run-of-the-mill action flick into something much more interesting, dynamic and fun. This guy certainly knows what he's doing and I can't recommend this edit enough to everyone who wants to see either the original flick vastly improved or to have a genuine great time with a tight, fast and fun action film that really works.
