Synopsis:
A mainly ZSJL restructured edit that lets the story unfold more naturally, that tightens up ZSJL and adds as much of the best parts of JWJL. More of JWJL Diana struggling with leadership,
Intention:
I took this edit on as it’s my most requested edit due to my other DCEU edits. I did my original DoJ Trilogy edits in hopes of the ZSJL release, and I couldn't be happier that it happened. As absolutely bloated as it was, I saw no need to rush to edit it. And legendary editors Gieferg, Spence, Krausdafr and BionicBob made amazing edits of their own. But as seems likely in this hobby with so many possible choices to make along the way, I never saw an edit quite the way I would cut it, and now it seemed time.
As always, I stayed true to my goal of editing movies - first and foremost for myself. I genuinely watch my edits repeatedly.
The goal was to try to use this movie to move these characters from the darker ZS origins, to end with the more positive, classic Justice League HEROIC archetypes I am more familiar with and fit better with the following DCEU movies.

Additional Notes:
This has truly been a passion project, a love letter to the end of the DCEU I have grown to love, and to send Cavil out on the best note possible.

Special Thanks:
To @Boredat3am, for always checking in to see if it was time to begin, and for amazing and thoughtful feedback. Your support has been so motivating throughout this edit.
To @Dirtycop1036, for the countless previews and feedback, your passion has also been a great motivator
To the legend @BionicBob, for thoughtful anaylisis with reference to views of true comic book fans, of which I am not. The feedback coupled with the depth of knowledge and love for these characters was immeasurable.
And to the great edits of @Spence, @Krausfadr, @Gieferg, and @BionicBob that came before, which I respect highly and drew inspiration from.

Editing Details:
This edit pushed my skills to new levels, as I wasn’t satisfied with the footage we got so I had to sometimes mix two shots together to get the result I needed. Dialogue rebuilt in many instances, and color correction throughout to integrate JWJL footage into the ZSJL, and the ZSJL color was brought up a little bit too to be less gloomy.

While I am not a fan of Snyder's interpretation of these DC heroes, I do recognize their appeal and I think Wakeupkeo has done a fantastic job with this edit. The edit remain faithful and true to Snyder's main through line, except now it feels like he had a strong executive producer to slightly reined him in and encourage him to inject some much needed humanity into the characters. But at the end of the day, this is still very much a Snyder flick; thus for me, some of the sequences are just a tad too long and a tad too much slo-mo. But that is a minor nitpick.
An excellent edit and well worth watching.
Thumbs Up.

An almost perfect edit ruined by two moments…. Firstly the score replacement of the ‘Man of Steel’ theme with ‘Song to the Siren’ is absolutely criminal and makes no sense whatsoever. Secondly, Batman grunting "something’s definitely bleeding" really?? Out of every bit of dialogue trimmed and deleted you chose to keep that??

Even though I can recognize the flaws with this cut such as the score when Bruce is talking to the team with video editing of Cyborg bringing up the hologram of Superman when clearly I can barely hear his dialogue and the score at one point when Aquaman saves the sailor and the end credits scroll of two split screens is crazy to see.
Overall I enjoy this fan edit of Justice League much more with the Whedon cut I didn't go back and remember the off-putting dialogue and Steppenwolf being a generic boring villain. The Snyder cut is more comprehensive but still has problems when it to extended slo-mo scenes that drags the film, the nightmare scene and definitely Martian Manhunter scenes which is nice to se but to add in the film makes me wonder after watching the cut is "why are you not helping Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman when they're fighting Doomsday in BvS and Zod and the Kryptonians invading Earth and Steppenwolf when you can clearly be a another helping hand for the team.
This is the Justice League I can see myself go back to imagine as alternate timeline that Justice League release like this in 2017 after Wonder Woman, making money successfully at the box office (close to a billion dollars, maybe...)
Adding the Green Lanterns in the mid credit scene talking to Bruce Wayne SO MUCH BETTER than Martian Manhunter coming in excluding the nightmare scene which I don't need that so it is perfect.
Definitely recommend to anyone that wants to give this version a watch, you won't be mistaken and get a kick out of it.

This is the version. You can now get your crew together and watch this and enjoy. This edit is a perfectly executed 5-Star Frog Splash from the top rope onto the bloated disjointed original version.
I highly recommend this!!!!!

I have been looking for a preferred version of Justice League for a while now and this one is almost it.
The theatrical cut of Justice League I find near unwatchable, with many of the re-shoots feeling rushed and too staged. Pretty much any scene with the league standing around talking is TV movie at best. ZSJL whilst tonally consistent is just so bloated and pretentious at times. Perfect example is Superman taking flight in the black suit. The voice overs from Crowe and Costner are utterly cringe worthy in ZSJL and so thankfully Wakeupkeo takes them out and just lets the music set the scene. Generally with this tone Wakeupkeo gets the balance just right.
The film looks and sounds fantastic and didn’t outstay its welcome. Aside from the numerous end credit scenes which added little. Also I wouldn’t have opted to include both rolling end credits as split screen. Not very filmic and created issues with the frame rate looking quite jittery.
Some music cues are a little too cut up for the sake of removing the odd piece of dialogue. For example during the epilogue. Also the transitions between scores is on a few occasions a little off, for example after Aquaman lands on the fisherman's boat.
However the one point which really didn’t work for me personally was the league's discussion around resurrecting Superman. Firstly the score replacement. Replacing the ‘Man of Steel’ theme with ‘Song to the Siren’ felt very off. Not to mention it drowned out the dialogue so Barry’s line ‘I know we are all thinking the same thing’ is barely audible. Then we get the Whedon re-shoot which descends into soap opera type bickering between Bruce and Diana. Resurrecting Superman is such a pivotal moment in the film and where I felt ZSJL treated it with the reverence it deserved. Here I would have preferred Wakeupkeo leave this moment alone and not revert to Whedon.
Otherwise a fantastic edit and highly recommended.

Justice League was a movie I hated than liked now love. Once again this is the cut to watch I was curious how Wakeuokeo would edit out an entire hour and everything would still make sense, well its not only a testament to the editors skills but just how bloated Zack Snyder's movie was. There were obvious things like the women sniffing Aquamans shirt, toning down Wonder woman's theme but I was surprised at how well some of the Whedon scenes fit in, with some wonderful color correction done.
My only real criticism isn't with story or editing but with the chapter credits they annoyed me in the Snyder cut and they annoy me here I will be skipping them in the future just my personal opinion.
I haven't mentioned this in my previous reviews until now but I have no real problem with the sound and that's because I use headphones to watch these movies (special headphones not airpods or stuff like that) I don't have a big surround system right now but from what I hear everything sounds fine.
This one gets a perfect 10 from me it took the core of Snyder's vision and cut the bloat and focused on the core this like the others will be my definitive cut.
