Synopsis:
Harrison Ford and Christopher Plummer are on a mission during WWII, behind enemy lines.
Intention:
To remove the forced, unconvincing love triangle and refocus the story around a spy and a bomber pilot trying to complete a highly sensitive mission after their support team is killed.
Additional Notes:
Part of Consecution Six - Shut Up!.
Special Thanks:
Thanks to bleujayone, who first told me about the film. It's not quite the Indy in WWII story you originally envisioned, Jay, but I hope it's entertaining anyway!
Release Information:
- DVD
- Digital
Cuts and Additions:
SPOILERS,
I cut every part of the film that didn't feature the main mission, and I changed the ending so that the spy dies.
Lots of other changes too, mostly to improve pacing, focus the story, and keep within the time limit.
I also removed all original sounds and music, replacing the original John Barry soundtrack, which felt too disconnected from the action to me and too close to Bond castoffs, with music by Bruce Broughton from several different films, primarily Monster Squad and Narrow Margin.

It took me two sittings to get all the way through this one. The first time I watched it I was distracted by how many times we see characters talking with no audio. Watching it a second time, it felt more like a silent movie without the title cards, so I was able to get into it more.
Great accomplishment telling the story without dialogue. I was able to get invested in what was happening despite my unfamiliarity with Hanover Street. I feel that it could have been better if it had sound effects, at least for the big action sequences.

Just fantastic. Great action packed story and the audio editing is nothing short of brilliant. This is what a short film should be.
