Not seen the film before (barring a few clips) before so my only point of comparison is the original novel (thank goodness that it doesn’t adapt certain aspects faithfully!) and it was certainly worth watching via this edit. That said, this often felt more like a parody of a Bond film than a genuine one (I can now see where “unnecessarily slow-moving dipping mechanism” comes from), and as has been mentioned before the scene here introducing the new actor to the role is the worst by far of all six in the Eon films.
None of that is MusicEd’s fault of course, I can’t think of any way that it could be (further) improved by additional cutting. As is, I never found the plot difficult to follow and didn’t notice any unnatural-feeling edits, from looking at the cutlist it seems that nothing important has been removed. I think that I’d only really watch the original out of academic interest, in that case I’d be able to make a proper comparison.
