Synopsis:
Four years after the failure of Jurassic Park, John Hammond reveals to Ian Malcolm that there was another island on which dinosaurs were bred before being transported to Isla Nublar. Left alone since the disaster, the dinosaurs have flourished, and Hammond wants Malcolm to observe and document the reptiles before Hammond's financiers can get to them. All deleted and extended scenes have been masterfully reintegrated into the movie. adding 2 new scenes and 7 more minutes of footage.
Intention:
heathen3017 from the originaltrilogy.com forums desired an extended edition of the film, and since I happen to own it and it's pretty simple, I made it.
Additional Notes:
This is kinda just an editing exercise for me as I don't really care for the film. It's been sitting in my trilogy boxset unused. Been looking for a reason to crack it out for a while now. I haven't seen this one in years and it'll stay that way for a while at least.
Other Sources:
- The Lost World: Jurassic Park Blu-Ray: For the film and one portion of a deleted scene not on the DVD
- The Lost World: Jurassic Park DVD: For most of the 2 deleted scenes (bar one portion taken from the BR) as they're in better shape here
- The Lost World: Jurassic Park - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack: One bit of "The Company of Death" was used to tranisition from the boardroom to Hammond's mansion

Interestingly, the rich British mother screaming originally transitioned to the yawning businessman (as seen in the shooting scrirpt), but since I liked the Goldblum transition a lot more, I moved it to between Goldblum on the train and arriving at Hammond's mansion. And also, there is a bit more of Roland fighting the man in the Kenyan bar on the BR than the DVD, so I've cut in one bit from the inferior BR footage. Hopefully it's seemless as the BR seems to be lower quality and horizontally squashed. Finally, there is a bit of deleted dialogue from the official website from the film (which is still up) from Hammond talking to Goldblum which I couldn't insert in due to the low quality, but you can listen to it here (http://www.lost-world.com/Lost_World03/Phone.html).
Cuts and Additions:
- Added Ingen Executives discussing what happened in JP1 and the first scene and agreeing to kick Hammond out
- Added introduction of Roland and Ajay with Roland fighting a guy in a bar in Kenya

Though the reintegrated deleted scenes were of a lower video quality, they were of a great story quality and the bar fight scene made me like Roland Tembo even more than I already did. This will be my go-to version of "The Lost World" from now on. Highly recommended.

Yes, I can tell by that added only two don't help nothing, but that dosen't mean to judge the Faneditor, for me, it looked cool, makes me felt that this version should've been the Official Theatrical Cut, though the video is not looking good, but still can understand it, for anyone who didn't like the fanedit, the theatrical is for you, but for anyone who didn't like the theatrical, this fanedit version is for you.

When it comes to my favorite movies, I'm always open to adding more content to them, and this one delivers. There is not much in the way of deleted scenes for the TLW, but it is nice to have them back in there none the less. I remember watching the TV premiere just to see the bonus scenes back in the day. The editor did a great job integrating these scenes back into the movie.

This is a simple but effective edit adding back the only 2 deleted scenes that are available to the public. The video quality of those scenes is not great, and there's a reason why they were cut, they are not amazing or anything, but that's not the fault of the faneditor. The sound and video transitions are seamless, and I personally enjoy the scenes, especially the introduction of Roland and Ajay, because without it their relationship is confusing. I never even noticed Ajay existed as a kid because he has like 2 lines in the theatrical cut.

I made subtitles in English (Simple version and hearing impaired version) and in Spanish, I sent them to Bobson Dugnutt in case they want to add them. I also left them in Opensubtitles.

I loved watching the T.V version as a kid because it had scenes that were not in the theatrical cut. With this fanedit the 2 deleted scenes are reinserted into the movie that help flesh out some of the newly introduced characters. I recommend this fanedit to anyone who enjoys the original Jurassic Park movies.
