Wow what a great edit to an already very great movie, Four and a half hour makes watching this feel as epic as reading the book for the first time, when you just couldn't put it down.
What I love about this edit is the removal of any over the top gags that border on slapstick and the insertion a few deleted scenes and parts from the extended edition, and even some new music in parts too. all in all it ties to the book much more closely.

It's so much better than having to change disks or load separate files for the full experience which is why I love TV series to movie adaptions so much, but I didn't even realise the 4.5 hours had passes because I was just so immersed into this version.
It was a true rollercoaster of a movie and one of my favorites.

Thank you M4

My favorite one film edit yet.
I've seen a lot of Hobbit edits in the past 2 years, and this one is definitely up there.
I'm very surprised with how near perfect it is. There was only one thing I would gripe about. The part where Thorin and Bard are talking to the Mayor, the Mayor shows up on screen and just makes reaction faces over and over. Which just seemed odd to me. Other than that it was perfect
Well done friend Cheers,
A viewer,
Juggy

The best fan edit I've ever seen, and I've recommended this edit to several friends. Everyone I show it to is amazed. High quality in every way, with added CGI to cover over the white orc, as well as the Bard's son are notable highlights. The removal of the tunnelling worms at the battle of the lonely mountain are also gone. Because it was the effort of so many contributors it's almost unfair to say this is the best fan edit, but it's truly a massive accomplishment, and an incredible film on par with Lord of the Rings finally!

I love that the film follows Bilbo, and trims the movies to fit into the mold the book provides. I'm impressed with how well it works, and keeps the DNA of the book alive. The first film is mostly untouched as the strongest of the bunch, and #2&3 receive the most edits here. The edits are flawless, and the fidelity is much appreciated. I love that I can get a blu-ray quality rip of this, and not just the digital download size. A HUGE thank you to M4 for this amazing contribution to society. You're really doing the lord's work.

A decade after concluding this disappointing trilogy (honestly though, it should've never been a trilogy to begin with) I decided to give it another shot through this edit..... And I'm glad to say that I wasn't disappointed this time around!

Bilbo's journey is streamlined, the useless filler material is out of the picture and the peculiar chapter structure of M4's work really gives it a feeling of seeing a real book-to-screen adaptation.... And it's all superbly edited!

Overall, it's an astonishing work and a major improvement over the disappointing trilogy we got, making it my definitive version to watch alongside the extended edition of Peter Jackson's original trilogy; excellent work, M4!

A cohesive version of Hobbit that stays true to the book and J.R.R. Tolkien's vision. This is and will remain an all time classic cut of the movies.
