OK, I'll start by saying that I'm a big Nolan fan and I think Memento is my second favorite of all of Nolan's films. Spoilers ahead LOL.
I LOVE the original. I love the forward motion of the b/w scenes and the backward, no-memory feeling of the color sequences. It was a perfect expression to put the viewer into Leonard's shoes.
If you watch the film in strictly chronological order (All b/w scenes in order, then all color scenes in reverse order) you realize a lot of things about Leonard and a lot of things about Teddy that are very hard to pickup in the original non-linear cut.
In INH5's Parallel cut, a lot of this character development feels fundamentally changed. Characters' motivations feel different. It seems like a totally different story. But in a GOOD way. It's like if the same sequence of events happened in a PARALLEL universe.
It brought a freshness to a movie that I already loved and it's definitely worth a watch if you're a fan of the original film. Cheers INH5!
